Lara beat Canelo. That makes him elite. He beat Paul Williams too. Like Rigondeaux his resume is misleading and doesn't accurately portray his skill level. Those two had bad careers because they were mismanaged, not because they didn't have skills for days. It's a toss up which one was the biggest waste of talent this decade.

Sorry have to disagree I had Canelo beating Lara 116-112, it was a fight in which I compare to the first GGG v Canelo fight in which Lara like Canelo was the better fighter, fought the better stylistic fight yet didn’t throw enough to win.

Seriously though I’m not saying Lara isn’t top tier, I’m playing him at his own game in regards to resume proof.

Although I do believe Lara would of back then taken multiple L’s at 160 if he had infact moved up.

 

Trout, Mayweather, Lara & GGG x2 all beat him too didnt they ??
