Fighters That Came Along In the Wrong Era?

    Those guys (Any Division) that came along, were damn good but came along, up against the cream of the crop and failed to win a title.
    For example, perhaps Jerry Quarry and Tua. Maybe in another Era they'd have being crowned?

    Jerry Quarry comes to mind. Marvin Johnson as well.

    Bob Foster in a different way, he could've been a lot greater had he been born 15 years earlier or 5 years later.

    Tua was not a world class fighter but the further back you go the better his chances get of winning a title because of size.

    James J Corbett and more recently Artur Beterbiev feel like they were born needing to swap rulesets with each other

    Guys like Langford, Wills and Peter Jackson were victims of their time for certain reasons everyone knows about

    Packey McFarland would've been a champion in any time except the time he was in

    Maybe not world title material but Librado Andrade was very unlucky with his opposition. Great celebration too.

    Jose Medel.

    Despite racking up tons of excellent wins title shots came vs. prime Jofre and then whilst slightly past his own prime vs. prime Harada. Had to face Jofre in a title eliminator. In many other eras he’d have carved out a hall of fame career.

    Holmes. Had he showed up in Shavers I shape back in 1971 or 1972 I think what for me was the best heavyweight era would have been the unbeatable heavyweight era. He'd have lost a couple of big ones, but I'm sure he still would have ended up champ.
