Once again NO!Tunney was173lbs for Carpentier and175lbs for the Greb fight I mentioned. Carpentier was not rated in any division when he fought Tunney ,he was a back number who had suffered a bad beating in his previous fight, inflicted byTommy Gibbons.
I repeat there were no ratings when Tunney beat Greb, they did not come into being until 1924.

I took those figures directly from Box Rec.Here they are.

    1924-07-24 Tunney 173¼ Georges Carpentier 173 89 13 5
    Polo Grounds, New York
    W
    TKO 15/15

    1923-12-10 Tunney 175 Harry Greb 171½ 215 12 16
    Madison Square Garden, New York
    W
    UD 15/15
I know you are thick,so I've underlined their weights, all are inside the light heavyweight limit!
You said all three were top ten ranked.WRONG!
Of the three only Gibbons was a ranked heavyweight.

Instead of accusing everyone who proves you wrong of lying, why dont you actually get off your arse and do some research?
Then perhaps you wouldn't continually be making a complete fool of yourself everytime you open your ignorant mouth!

    Look .
    Tunney weighed175lbs v Greb 171lbs
    Tunney weighed 173lbs v Carpentier 173lbs
That means they were light heavyweights fighting inside the light heavyweight limit .So they were not fighting as heavyweights! Carp[entire was not a highly regarded contender when he fought Tunney he was past his best and not ranked!
What he had done or not done years earlier is entirely irrelevant to this discussion!
Can you grasp that, because I cant make it any simpler?

So they can both weigh inside the lightheavyweight limit, which they did and still be heavyweights. You absolutuely refuse to admit you are ever wrong, which is weird because you almost always are!
1.Both were light heavies in both matches.
2.Carpentier was not ranked in any division by that stage of his career.
3.There were no ratings for Greb to be rated in.
4,You yourself labelled them as heavyweights and they obviously were not!
That's four out of four you got wrong.
Want to try for five ?lol

Sure he only lost once, and only was floored once in 80+ fights. Tunney could move, box, and is an under rated puncher. Double dare ya to see his record vs hall of fame fighters.

Spinks career was a little short

What Tunney was listed as after, and what division he fought in has nothing to do with the fights we are discussing.
You said you could look up Box Recs stats and that I was providing fake ones.I copied Box Rec's stats and posted them and you still refuse to acept them. You are not dealing with a full deck and I have wasted enough of my time on you . You idiotic little buffoon!

Nope ,Tunney had 68 fights, and was floored in his December 1920 fight with Leo Houck,

So by that token, now that the cruiserweight division is 200lb, do you now regard all the historical heavyweight championship fights between men of less than 200lb as fights between cruisers?

I regard all the men who fought then who were at, or under 175lbs, but over 160lbs as Light heavyweights. And so does Box Rec.CBZ & The Ring Record Book
    You disagree?

I switch Ali with Louis, and definitely put Holy and Foreman in the top 5. Lewis isn't far behind. I have Tyson at 10.

I guess I have more problems with guys getting KO'd by Schmeling or beaten emphatically by Moorer.
