Tom Yankello makes pretty good videos because he is an honest to God boxing guy.
That is a real basic counter, not some mystic on the mountain move that only a special few can do. The timing works better if you don't block then punch. The rotation of your body as you punch moves your liver 8 inches or more forward and his hook goes behind your back.
