Have just finished the fury book, just wondering if many others have?

    Thoughts?

I was always under the impression that the failed drug test was the reason for his downfall but it barely gets a mention!!

I tend not to read someone’s book until they’ve retired, they seem a lot more honest and open when they publish it after retiring. I won’t be reading it as he’s still in the game and won’t be telling his best stories incase he upsets the Apple cart too much.
Yes I’m aware it’s Fury and he doesn’t care about upsetting people but he’ll still keeps things back IMO.

    Interesting read so far.

Fury has fond words for Peter, doesn't go into why they no longer speak though!

I'll wait until the book he releases after he retires, I'm sure the two will probably read a little differently, "Some say Ali was the best but I'm not so sure........Jake LaMotta...." Ali passes "Ali was the greatest....", bless him, never short of an opinion with a different one to follow not long after, is our Tyson!

I told my mrs not to buy me this as I thought she would, not sure why I said that but probably cause he hasn’t retired and probably all PR spin

Is quite amazing the transformation from a shy young lad with no confidence to what we see today.

He also speaks so highly of Peter fury and Ben Davison it's surprising that he is no longer with either.

One thing that I picked up on is his ability to beat opponents before they get in the ring he is a master of the mind games I think it's such a shrewd move from wilder not to do any press tour or face to face media before the rematch this could be a disaster for fury as he won't get a chance to get into Wilders mind this time!!!

It's worth reading just for the bits about his nan patience, sounds a real character and would probably be p4p top 3 if she ever fought!!!

I enjoyed the book but like most autobiographies these days, there’s nothing new to really read about as like most celebrity, Fury lives his life out publicly on social misleadia. I had hoped for the promised ‘the truth will come out’ big reveal about his 2 year backdated Nandralone suspension.

I think “I cheated and got caught” goes against his new media trained persona.

Not a bad read, but not great either.

I feel after reading the part where Eddie offered him Bellew, Whyte and then AJ, and Tyson turned that down, proves the "fighting man" talk is just that - talk.

He's fought nobodies, admits to it in the book, and then talks about the "gypsy king" and how he's back to being the best!

He's deluded, and I feel that he spouted a few whoppers in the book.

For example: He stated that he has got a "mental health problem" then says that he was diagnosed with OCD! Lol, hardly a genuine mental health problem.

    There's better out there.

What did he say about turning it down?

Also OCD is a genuine mental health problem. Such a ridiculously ignorant comment.

    It was an interesting read.

I also read the Mike Tyson book which doesn’t compare whatsoever- Mike Tyson is one of the best reads as it goes into detail about fighting, hookers and cocaine. Tyson Fury’s book was written very cautiously.

It was interesting about Peter Fury- the split was to do with Tyson not managing his deals and day to day fairs which I assume Peter was so I am guessing the dispute was to do with money. He also states that they are no longer on talking terms.

It’s a good read if you have time to pass but it’s ‘unfinished’ as I’m sure that there is so much more to tell when the ‘guard’ is down.

    Enjoy.

I've got OCD. I'm forever checking that I've locked my door, closed my window - thirty times. Have everything in a specific order etc.

Is it on par with depression or Autism? Nowhere near it. It's nothing in the grand scheme of things. But because Tyson has it, it's monumental... Anyone on here could take a mental health test and come out with something and be labelled.

That Eddie has an ego and it was all about him. Nonsense. If anyone has an ego then it's Tyson. He'd have no choice but to play second fiddle to AJ because of how popular AJ is and how unpopular he is.

Just seem's that he didn't want any of those three, and it checks out that such a thing is his M.O.

Avoids top contenders yet somehow gets himself a shot against the main man.

Find it bizarre that Fury has already released his autobiography, yeah I know it's just a quick cash grab but if you put that aside the guy's been a pro 11 years and won the lineal HW title 4 years ago and we still don't know how good he actually is. Never defended the title, out for 3 years, many believe he beat Wilder but how good is Wilder really ??

One of the most ridiculous statements I have ever read. As 'somebody who has OCD' you would think you know more about it!
