It won't happen, massive upside for DDD, not so much jjj. DDD loses then he can easily rebuild with respect at taking on a tough opponent at 22. Joyce loses he's done and so is the money
Yup and Joyce has virtually said all that too. I can't see this fight happening despite all the talk.
If it doesn't don't be surprised if Dubois jumps ship. Warren needs to stop stepping it up for him or he'll leave and be promoted by someone who can make bigger fights happen for him. Don't forget it was the fighters not Frank who made Dubois Gorman happen.
The step up level for Dubois will be on par with Eubank when he took on BJS. You don't just go from fighting C levels to A. It doesn't work like that. Dubois might be a far better boxer in a couple of years than Joyce has ever been but right now I'd expect Joyce to knock him out, possibly inside 4. Dubois beating Joyce would be an incredible achievement that should instantly put him in mandatory position for all the belts.
Id love to see it but as mentioned above Joyce get nothing from this At his age every fight is critical to a world title shot or cash out fight
It will be glorious if he does, too. He has spouted SO much saying no one wants to fight him, he's dodged by everyone etc - so now a young well ranked fighter is willing to risk his 0 against Joyce and Joyce has got mega awkward. He'll look like a right pillock if he dodges Joyce and carries on about no one wanting to fight him
He did the same to Ortiz but then went all shy on it when Ortiz said to his face yeah why not after the first fury v wilder fight.
Joyce good beard but horrible style and clumsy !!! He’s gonna get knocked out by round 9 against Dubois !!! I hope this fight happens
Dubois knocks Joyce out. It would be a very entertaining and exciting fight and be just the coming out party that Dubois needs. Dubois would wear him down, and Joyce would start to be pushed onto his back foot. Joyce is a fighter who is only effective on his front foot walking forward and throwing alot. Dubois would get him to move onto his back foot and then knock him out.
This is a terrific match up and the only one that makes sense for both fighters. Calculated gamble, Joyce has to crack on if he's going to get a shot at a major Title, there's no point in knocking over stiffs and waiting in line. For Dubois, as mentioned elsewhere on this thread, this is the ideal coming out party, a hard fight against a very tough man in which he could look good. Dubois is yet to actually have a fight as a pro, I'm not sure whether he ever had to dig in as an amateur. Joyce is a proper battle hardened type who will chug along all night. I can see Dubois winning it by breaking Joyce down but he will have to earn it.
Joyce look drained against Jennings. I think the bigger heavier version that fought Stiverne, would present Dubois some problems.
