Tyson was the greater heavyweight, with some daylight between them.

Factoring in CW, however, might just tip it Holyfield's way.

It will probably be interchangeable, an argument can be made either way, despite Tyson’s h2h loses against holy

Both have records that's tough to beat. The youngest vs 4x Champ. I fancy Holy, only one to beat Mike 2x.

It's crazy, if either man had just a little of what made the other great, I believe we have the greatest fighter ever, not just at heavyweight. If Holyfield had Tyson's power......think about that. If Tyson had the tenacity and heart of Holyfield. When I say tenacity, I mean keep going until you achieve your goal. Never stop, no matter how bad you're getting beat. To answer the OP, I go with Holyfield.

What goes against Holyfield the most for me is the whole Evan Fields business although there have been plenty of drugs cheat accusations laid at Tyson's door too.

Tyson IMO. Prime Tyson -- regardless how short it was -- was the better fighter. I dont know if a clean Holyfield fights above LHW. If he does, I highly doubt he comes anywhere near the fighter he was when juiced to the gills.

Evander Holyfield was one of the Dirtiest Fighters of All Time. He's the master of head-butting.

    Natural talent - Tyson

ATG fighter and resume - Holyfield by some distance, he wasn't a natural HW, unified Cruiser division and has wins over guys who many believe would have beaten Tyson (Bowe and Old Foreman), avenged his loss to Moorer too. And of course they both fought when past their best and Holy whooped him, no contest really.

Both were greats. Overall, I give the slight edge to Evander because he had a longer career at a very high level. Tyson was never the same fighter after he got out of jail. At his peak, Tyson was a force of nature. Evander was a blown up cruiser who was a very tough guy, fighting bigger men. Head to head, we all know what happened but Tyson was a different fighter when he fought Evander. Younger Tyson would have been a different story. I miss watching both guys. Boxing was more fun for me in those days.

Evan Fields or people saying they think Tyson was on something? I've had many a conversation in the gym with people who believe he was roiding from his teenage years and the internet is full of people who think he was a juicer.

Holyfield, of course. He outranks him both at HW and overall.
