To many to mention but 2 of the very best was his assassinations of Arturo Gatti and the then undefeated Diego Corrales. To many to mention really remember the destruction of Angel Manfredy. Also did a great job on Hatton as well.

    1. When she retired so she wouldn't have to fight Margarito.

    2. When he fought some lady and got a split decision. Rumor has it the lady was robbed.

    3. When he went to jail and was crying himself to sleep every night.

    4. When he lost against Larry Merchant and ran out of the ring.

    5. When he broke his back ducking Margarito, prime PacMan, Paul Williams, Clottey, and others. I'll quote Mike Tyson, "It's spinal."

Canelo told Mayweather he was willing to come down to150 for the fight. Mayweather then agreed to 152 catch weight, which Canelo later came in at 170lb fight night. Stop trying to make excuse for Canelo. He got schooled by Mayweather, and Mayweather wasn't even prime no more.

    1. Evidence of floyd juicing? He was only caught with IV drips
    2. Defeated 23 world champions (okay some were not in prime)
    3. dehydrated a few times and paid the price financially
    4. His fighting style was not the most exciting, but thats his style to be defensive and take least damage
    5. He brought in more PPV buyers and eyes to the sport than any other boxer ever

    1. Corrales
    2. Pacquiao
    3. De La Hoya
    4. Canelo
    5. Cotto

Corrales was a ridiculously dominant performance against a proven champion and likely Hall of Famer. Despite still being young, you could instantly tell that Floyd was a special talent with a well-schooled arsenal. Dominating Corrales to that extent signified greatness.

Pacquiao may not have been at his peak, but neither was Floyd. Pacquiao is a true All Time Great with speed, power, skill, footwork, and explosive awkwardness. Floyd defeated him definitively. Might it have been a different fight years ago? Maybe. But few fighters would have beaten Pacquiao the way he did that night. He used all the tricks he knew to beat a longtime rival.

De La Hoya was still an elite fighter who had many advantages going into their fight, and Floyd had to adjust to his jab and aggression to win intelligently. It was a true passing of the torch fight.

Canelo is a win that ages like a fine wine. There's only so much credit you can give him for beating such a young fighter whose biggest accomplishments at the time were sneaking past Austin Trout and having red hair, but Canelo soon established himself as an elite 154-pounder. The utter dominance Floyd displayed against such a talent demonstrated what a chasm of skill and experience there really was.

Many people will dismiss Cotto given his age, but nobody can say that he wasn't motivated and well-prepared for that fight. Under Pedro Diaz, Cotto was showing great boxing skill and versatility. Floyd had to deal with Cotto's aggression in spots, and did so well, but he also had to deal with his well-timed jab, his movement, and the occasional southpaw switch.

Honorable mention for Castillo. The reason I chose not to include it was that Floyd had to fight such a minimalist style to win, even by his standards, that it was almost a concession. Castillo was a great fighter and it took great ability to beat him, but the manner in which he did so-avoiding the inside desperately-betrayed a slight weakness and somewhat tainted the win.

Canelo fight is the best Mayweather's victory, IMO.

Even Canelo was so cautious and afraid of Floyd's counter and unpredictability. This fight is a real evidence that technique can win against power in boxing.

The second one is probably against De La Hoya. I used to think that DLH was robbed, but after years I rewatched it again and come out with different opinion.

Canelo is still in his 20's and has one of the best resumes currently in the sport. To say he's not on a tragectory to equal or surpass barerra or Marquez is just nonsense. No one was calling those guys atg's when they were in their 20s either
