Cant see anything but the referee stepping in and stopping this with Canelo being far too big, fast and strong for BJS. I will study both more but just cant think of a scenario that BJS can win

Just wish it wasnt on the back of BJS looking like garbage and basically saying on live television that hes ready to be beat.

Still though... obviously one of the better matchups to make at the moment.

If BJS wants to get paid that is.

yeah, he didn’t look his best but it was his own fault for getting popped for peds & letting his career get derailed.

To be fair to BJ he still got the Knockout, which is probably why he is even being considered for the opportunity.

he should be fine if he takes it serious & he would have no reason not to ... it’s his BIGGEST moment to $hine.

Loved this fight at 168. Saunders has only really looked poor at 168, so that kills it a little bit for me. Would be still very happy to see it announced though. Anything to stop Smith and Gallagher getting a pay day

Haven't been overly impressed with BJS at 168. He looks slower there movement wise. I think he'd have a better shot if the fight were at 160.

Saunders is getting his ass beat all over that ring. Easy work.

Prolly, like others have said he looked much better in the ring at 160.
Still I’d like to see it.

He hasn't looked good at 168 but I think that's due to large part to BJS's work ethic and getting popped for PEDs. Work ethic in that he hasn't had to cut weight to make 160 anymore so he doesn't have to train as hard to make 168, so he ends up slower and in worse shape since he wasn't forced to train as hard like he had to when he made 160. Also if he was using PEDs then was unable to after getting popped obviously that would make him look worse and slower too.

That said, theoretically you would think BJS would perform better at 168 than he did at 160 without having to drain himself. Think Daniel Jacobs, he was killing himself to make 160 and obviously is a healthier fighter at 168. But for some fighters having to cut weight and fight at a lower weight classe makes them perform better because they aren't carrying around excess weight, and will have better hand / foot speed being lighter. It all depends on the fighter, and how much of their skill and speed they gain or lose by cutting weight. For BJS I got the impression he is no longer able to make 160 which is why he moved up. But the best he ever looked was aagainst David Lemieux and that was when he was still at 160. I have my doubts at whether he can still perform like that in 2020, and he would need to perform like he did against DL to have a realistic shot at beating Canelo. I'm sure BJS will train a lot harder than he did for his last fight if he was going up to Canelo. But he would really need to go balls to the wall and have the best training camp of his life.

We all knew it would be Saunders or Smith based on how they looked in their most recent fights.
