Berbick is going to turn this into an endurance and conditioning fight. Huge edge for Trevor against this guy once it hits the 5th round or so. And he would likely have Johnson getting sloppy prior to that.
The prime in shape Johnson that got rag dolled by John Ruiz? Johnson was all too eager to go low again and get disqualified after those right hands put him on ***** street and had him falling over Ruiz. Never impressed with this guy, even before he became a whale. He blitzed out Oleg but so did Mount Whitaker and T Rex Sanders.
Kirk Johnson was the better fighter but a bit of mental midget. Expect Berbick get Johnson out of his gameplan with his taunting and score an upset decision.
Did you ever really watch the Kirk-Ruiz debacle?? I doubt it. Ruiz acting & Joe Cortez corruption stopped Kirk getting the KO win & the WBA title he deserved. Every body shot Kirk threw Ruiz claimed foul & Cortez warned. It was the exact opposite of the Ref bias as in the Ward -Kov ball bashing. That fight broke Kirk's heart He beat Ruiz & should have been champ & was never the same again. He fought Vitali purely for the paycheck.
