I watched highlights of GGG v Lemieux last night. That version of GGG was a fearsome, fearsome animal. His jab was a piston, backed up by powerful and brilliantly put together body and head punching and a prodigious ability to cut off the ring. Sadly, he’s now clearly on the decline and I suspect by the time his DAZN contract has run its course, we’ll have seen him lose again. That said, at his peak he was tremendous and in my view would have been a nightmare (or at least a very, very hard night) for anyone in history at 160. How do you guys see the Lemieux version of GGG doing against the Canelo of the second fight? My view is either a clear points victory or a late rounds stoppage.
That's the best version on of ggg in my opinion. I think golovkin edges canelo based on the two versions you mentioned Golovkin by decision still competitive and close in my opinon GGG also backpeddaled against Lemieux . so i think he definitely would do it against canelo from the second fight. Close competitive fight. Although ggg. Mixes it up a bit more having a bit more speed Golovkin by close competitive decision
How can this be debatable?????? Canelo got beat in the 2nd fight and GGG of Lemieux fight would have smoked Canelo
Well considering a declined GGG won a clear decision in the first fight and another close win in the rematch, I’d say the GGG from the Lemieux fight would win very wide on the cards.
If you watch the Golovkin against Curtis Stevens to the one that fought Dereveyanchenko, you can see how his speed, stamina and power has diminished.
Is that what happened in your dream last night? Do you dream about things that don't happen in real-life, that you wished happened?
What a moron lol 1. This isnt even my thread 2. I said ggg would edge it. What a born loser you are especially to your society 2.
Don't forget that the GGG that forced CCC ie. Chicken Coop Clenelo to bolt back into the darkest corner of the coop at breakneck speed and had him cowering in a puddle of his own pee like a petrified Chihuahua on Bonfire Night was even past his prime back then. Imagine what the prime version of GGG who sparked out a prime Kovalev with 16oz gloves and headgear on in the gym would've done to him? But there's about as much chance of CCC stepping into a ring with prime versions of GGG and Kovalev as there is of Korobov or Juan Ryder getting their hands raised in a close fight with him ie. NADA
