Peter Fury on Martin Bakole

He's good but he definitely ain't special.

Would love to see him fight Dubois. If not him then Joyce. Blowing smoke up his arse does nothing. As soon as he gets in deep water he will be in trouble. He has Hunter to thank for that.

 

He's a big lad with lots of power and ok technique. Special he ain't.

 

The best spar fighter the world has ever seen !!! Bakole has fought one world level fighter and was out of his depth, maybe the experience will make him better, for me is a gate keeper

 

He mentally quit in the ring against Hunter, although I know there are excuses around that performance. Hunter is a figher himself who struggled like hell against a 40 year old shot to bits Povetkin who can only fight 30 second spurts per round.

Bakole is good but he is not top 10 at world level.

 

At the end of the day Hunter should be rated no more highly than Cunningham at heavy back in the day. I get that Hunter is a decent fighter but he’s nothing special and don’t get why he is being rated so highly. Like that picture of the current top heavyweights and other top heavyweights they’ve beaten...for some reason Hunter was included...why?

As for Bakole, he’s big and has some skills and power. Keeping an open mind but he was well beaten by Hunter, who isn’t going to trouble the top guys all that much.

 

I keep hearing that Bakolie is this, that and the other. Fury, McGuigan, Fast Eddie. Must be some fighter in the gym !

Bakole dropped AJ in sparring before he was even born.

 

Maybe Peter Fury just likes the name Martin.

 

Or just doesn’t realise you don’t need to be world class to get the better of hughie...

 

I’m really not sold on what I’ve seen of Bakole so far. As a few have already said, he must be one hell of a gym fighter

 

Bakole is good fighter and I can see him becoming a top 10 fighter.

Bakole is going to be hard match though. You can tell by Hearns comments stating that he offered Bakole to fight Dubois on BT at a cheaper price than what Allen would cost. Hearn also stating that Hrgovic didnt want fight Bakole. They should look to put against onee of Price, Kuzmin or Zhang next

 

Bakole had it in him to knock Hunter out, i'd expect a different outcome with a better mental approach from him

 

I could see him being a gym killer, blowing hot and cold with performances, but he has hit and miss written all over him, maybe a bit of a bully mentality, he'll fold if they dont
