Canelo landed a BOMB on him and it didn't even budge GGG.

And it's not his fault that nobody lands clean on him.

When you can take Canelo's, Lemmy's and Jacobs best and not go down, you've got a bloody good chin!

    I’d say GGG is 1
    Canelo 2 or 3
Chavez Jr has his daddy’s tug boat chin & little else.
pac man is in the conversation Yes MARQUEZ destroyed him in fight # 4 but my gawd the overhand right he threw & pac jumped into could have stunned a heavyweight.

I agree, he has an excellent chin, but I just dont think he gets hit hard enough, often enough, with multiple hard and accurate shots enough to take the crown. He certainly has displayed he can take absolute single-shot missiles off his dome to no effect, but to me, having a great chin also encompasses taking multiple hard combinations without blinking. Wach IMO was the gold standard for a while.

dude that bomb in fight 1 was atomic & would have had a Wilder effect on any other mortal.
GGG took it turned his head back to look at Canelo & marched forward stalking like the terminator.
i wonder if his pupils glowed Red for an instant?

He has amazing, unbelievable physical toughness. Probably does have the best chin in boxing.

    Pac has been KTFO
Porter has been down several times.
Clenroido was put on ***** street by Jose Cotto before he delved into the roids.

    GGG never down, never staggered.

Porter gets dropped by. Labeled chinny

Goes on and takes danny and porters. Best shots head on dosent go down

    Canelo was a big puncher

Ggg fights Lemieux saftey first with the jab

Canelo fights kovalev takes the bigger mans shots .

Took marquez 4 fights to knock pac out .

Before the 4th pac took those shots head on.

Portee canelo and pac have all faced bigger punchers and have had their chins
Tested. Ggg fought Lemieux safety first .

Canelo was never a big puncher

Pacquiao, Golovkin and Porter have iron chins and I wouldn’t put one over the other in their primes, but right now it’s probably Porter as the youngest and most energetic of the bunch. The difference is style and tendencies to getting hit, esspecially how.

Pacquiao’s chin is iron, but just like Duran, with the right punch you can put anyone out, I also don’t think he was all their physically vs Marquez, he was being manhandled and it was an obvious case of no strength & conditioning for the fight and he paid the ultimate price.

Porter gets hit terribly, he’s especially vulnerable late, when he’s tired and gets sloppy or has mental lapses where there’s no reaction to an incoming punch. The Spence punch was as perfect as you can land a punch with Porter throwing his own left hook and turning into it, not seeing it etc and his glove barely touched the canvas.

Golovkin is the most fundamental and takes the least risks fighting mainly behind a jab and always being tucked within his defenses, but as it stands today his last two fights have shown he has aged terribly and is actually the most vulnerable to being stopped right now.

Today it’s Porter, Pacquiao, Golovkin. Those are just the fighters that popped into my head(probably because they are who are being discussed in this thread), on further deliberation I’d put Rungvisai as having one of the best chins but he is also usually very well tucked and is hard to hit proper.

Porter has a very good chin but he was dropped by Broner and the featherfisted Spence in the pros, sparked out in 2 (KO2) in the amateurs by the Cuban Emilio Correa Jr. and also dropped in the ams by Domonic Wade.

GGG's never been down amateur or pro and he's had almost 400 fights. The guy's chin is made out of titanium.

Clenelo nearly got sparked out by Cotto's E level nephew who is the size of a toddler

Manny got sparked out colder than Siberia by a JMM who couldn't even get glass-jawed dope fiend Alvarado out of there
