    Deontay Wilder flew in for a stint at the Stanglwirt while he was still in the fledgling stages of a career that has seen him crowned as America's long-reigning WBC champion.

    This younger version of 'The Bronze Bomber' strived to showcase his power against Wladimir Klitschko, with Whyte revealing how he witnessed the sudden, explosive ending of a sparring session.

    "I've seen him getting knocked out," said Whyte. "Wladimir knocked him out.

    "He knew what happened. He had his hands up. He was roughing Wlad up, bringing the smoke, and he was going wild.

    "Wlad backs up, changes his footwork, feinting, feinting, jabs to the body, throws that feint jab, left hook. Wilder had his hands up, he was gone.

    "It wasn't no knockdown, he was knocked cold. Properly twitching as well.

    "That's why they probably didn't want him to fight Wlad, because Wlad was going to fight him as a pro and Wilder never fancied it the whole time."

    You can tell real fans from fake fans by those that give a **** what happens during sparring.

    Sparring isn't a real fight. Sparring is about trying new things out and working on specific things.

    Wlad vs Wilder is a huge who the **** knows... Wlad would have ran scared but probably got Wilder late. I think later Wlad would have been smart enough to not attempt to mix it up too much until he just frustrated Wilder by jabbing the hell out of him and moving around the ring and holding.

    I was a big Wlad fan too, but again sparring don't mean ****.

    But let's not forget Wilder avoided Wlad, who wanted to unify ALL the HW titles when he had the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO.

    This explains why. Wilder talks tough, but by avoiding other heavyweights he shows his vulnerability and his fear.

    Did Wilder avoid him though? Promoters make fights, not fighters. People want to blame fighters for ducking this person or that person, or whatever... when there's a lot of reasons that have nothing to do with the fighters for fights not being made.

    Usually when a boxer insists upon having a world title unification fight, the promoters will go along with it, even if they've advised their boxer to not do so.

    Both Wlad and Wilder had/have huge KO power. Does anyone really deny that?

    I'm sure either could KO anyone in sparring, but I really don't see how that means anything.

    If a light hitter like Fury KOd someone in sparring that might mean more -- although I don't think it does. But Wlad and Wilder? They have KO power. Everyone knows that. This isn't news.

    Another meaningless sparring story. Awesome! If FlIVd comes back are you going to post the sparring story of how he got beat up by Errol and walked out of the ring?

    Wilder had ample time to fight Wlad to unify all the belts and never fancied it. We all know why. Old news.

    look at who Wilder was fighting at the time instead. He wasn’t even fighting Jennings level opposition.

    This has been corroborated by many fighters, trainers and figures in the sport. Wlad beat Wilder from one side of the ring to the other. Same thing would have happened in a real ring.

    We Be Crooks had a bogus tournament to crown their champion when Vitali retired. Laughable really. In a sane world Wlad would have fought Stiverne for the vacant belt(with all of the other belts on the line to boot) We all know how that would have gone down.

    Wilder fought for the title in 2015, same year Wladimir lost to Fury. Truth is, he wasn't ready for Wlad at that time. He fought very very cautiously against Stiverne due to a lack of seasoning.

    Wilder wouldn't have been ready for Wlad until around 2018, and by then obviously he was gone.
