I suppose I can’t honestly say I think he did at the time. Ruddocks power is hard to gauge as he really didn’t knock anyone important out.

Williams isn't among my favourite fighters, neither is Tyson BTW .
So you, like Morlocks believe you have to ko big names to be considered a big puncher?
How many big names did Shavers ko,Lyle,Foster,Gomez?
I don't say Marciano was hurt HE SAID he blacked out for a few seconds and when he got up he headed for the ropes expecting a standing count. He said this in an interview with Peter Wilson its in his book More Ringside Seats.
Personally I thought he looked more hurt against Walcott, but Im not the man who was hit ,HE WAS and so I'll take his word for it.
Ive been following since I was ten years old and practised it too, that's 61 years of experience .Im certainly no expert, but I flatter myself I have the rudiments down pretty well.

You are avoiding answering two simple questions now. That's pretty telling.
    I'll happily answer yours though.
A Marciano who had lost 4 of his prime years to prison then come back, might very well be stopped by Holyfield.

Anyone doubting that would find me seriously questioning their boxing knowledge!

Ali fought life and death in all THREE of his bouts with Joe Frazier. Not just the one where he had been previously inactive. He fought life and death in all THREE of his bouts with Ken Norton and arguably lost two out of those three, though admittedly Norton had noticeable difference with Marciano. Ali was decked by a left hook from Henry Cooper that could have resulted in a knockout. He fough I’m very close terms with Doug Jones. Was decked by chuck Werner. Had to work for his wins against Chuvalo and Bonavena. Yes some of the above guys were different from Marciano but the point is Ali had trouble with a lot of guys throughout all stages of his career. I’m fadt very few of his fights were walks in the park

As long as you admit he wasn’t really hurt.

Ali won two of the Frazier fights ,the one he lost was after coming out of 4 years exile with just 18rounds of ring action under his belt.Frazier was 20lbs heavier than Marciano and quicker of hand and foot.
Norton did not resemble Marciano in the slightest imo he was 5.5 inches taller for one thing.

I answered them the best way they could be answered. You can’t ask questions that there aren’t solid answers for and expect a yes or no. No I think Ruddock hit hard. I’ll take Mikes word for it. Same as shavers and Cleveland but if you can’t finish your power becomes harder to gauge. How do you gauge Cleveland or Ruddock when they lost to opponents supposedly lesser punchers Kayoed? I’d say Walcott and Moore were much better finishers and different kind of punchers that beat better competition.

Frazier won 1 of those fights and that against an Ali who had just 18rounds of combat in the previous 4 years!
Norton was nothing like Marciano for one thing he was 5 and a half inches taller, for another he was 30lbs heavier, and finally he had 12 inches more reach! Doug Jones also fought nothing like Marciano and Cooper whom I saw beat Mildenberger was a stand up left jab left hook boxer without a right hand. Wepner was standing on Ali's foot when he hit him and Ali had to go down . How many rounds did Chuvalo win against Ali?

I admit nothing I believe Marciano .He said he blacked out and when he got up he was obviously buzzed enough to go to the ropes expecting a standing count though it was not in operation.

Yes I addressed all these points and added some other comments as well. After further review, I’m left with no reason to think that Rocky Marciano would get crucified by Muhammad Ali and certainly not just because he stood 5’10”. We agree that Ali would emerge victorious but that’s about as far as I’ll go.
