If this could happen I'd pick Ward. Ward would have advantages in skill, speed, and balance and I suspect that Ward would be bigger and stronger. Ward wouldn't run, and with his balance and footwork and inside skills he'd keep RM even more off balance. I suspect that if RM made it past 7-8 rounds, he'd be the fatigued one, from missing punches and having to try to regain his balance, plus Ward wouldn't allow him to fight at his regular pace. In addition, Ward had an inside game and his punches to the body would take their toll. I don't expect people on this board to agree, but from watching video, I agree with the Mayweather Gym people, Ward.

You are right, I don't agree with your analysis at all. Marciano would be winded after 8 rounds??? He never tired against fiull heavyweights, but he is going to tire against light punching, super middleweight Ward? Just not objective analysis.

Marciano would eat his cornflakes, out of Ward's upturned skull!

Ward is a boxing Maester but Rocky would complete him sometime around the late rounds. I don't think there's a sub cruiser wight in history who could beat Rock.

Ok maybe you don't agree or like what I post, I don't care. When I post it is no different than anyone else posting a fighter x vs fighter y thread, thats part of the purpose of this board. Just because you don't like when I do it doesn't make it wrong.

I think Ward is more skilled than Rocky, but Rocky made a career out of beating people more skilled than he. Can you honestly say that Ward was more skilled than Charles, Moore, Walcott and perhaps even old Louis?

Sure, plus AW is better trained, stronger, and quicker. I think AW would be a threat to most of the modern heavyweights if he just fought one of them, one time. He couldn't give up that much size and strength fight after fight and be successful, but for one fight...To me, Ward is an exceptional fighter who would be 6-0, 190-95 without cutting weight. Just as they were when they actually competed, I wouldn't favor any pre- 1960 heavyweight to beat him.

I think Andre Ward was a very good fighter. HOF for sure. But, if you wouldn't favor men like Louis, Dempsey, Johnson, or Marciano over Ward, your lack of objectivity and rational analysis makes debate with you pointless.

I get you im a ward fan myself i would give ward a chance against guys like wilder and AJ .

However with marciano its different . i understand your points as well .i do agree with some ..

I just think marciano style is all wrong for ward.

Marciano fought skilled movers like ward.

He ended up eating there shots walked right through them anfmd ended up beating the will out of his opponents .

It was such hard beatings he would give these men.

Ward would look in the beginning.

Then marciano starts breaking his opponent down slowly.

I think marciano stops ward in the 7th or 8th .

Ward is on a different level of skill than marciano

However marciano is on a different level of grit and will than ward .

Now that it's conclusively proven that Ward stops Marciano, can Money do the same?

    New thread?
