    Both GOATs
But which victory was more impressive?
Ali's fantastic knockout of George Foreman
Or Mayweather's demonstration of top notch boxing skills

It depends on your point of view I guess. I was 7 when Ali won the Title back from Foreman. I can remember my Dad waking me up for school and the first thing I wanted to know was who had won. It was front and back page news all over the world.
Mayweather v Pacquiao was years overdue and while big news in the States and the Philippines was only of interest to Boxing fans in Europe. On top of this, it may have been an exhibition of defensive brilliance and counter punching from Floyd, it hardly set the pulse racing did it ?
To add a little perspective, there were genuine fears that Ali maybe badly damaged or even worse against George. His win was almost literally seen as a miracle.

Still Ali vs Foreman for me.

considering Ali’s lay-off, who Foreman was and what he was meant to do to Ali, that knock out left people speechless, it wasn’t supposed to happen.

Ali beating Foreman and it's not even close.

    1. Both Floyd and Manny were equally "deteriorated" and post prime.
    2. Ali was post prime going in against the prime 2nd coming of Liston that had destroyed the 2 guys that Ali lost to.

Ali was supposed to get destroyed. His win was far more impressive.

Juiced up Mayweather Vs a one armed legend PAC?

Or prime clumsy foreman's Vs seasoned Ali?

Had void actually KOd PAC . Floyd would have it, instead he jabbed his way to a crap UD.

    Ali all day.

In my opinion, ali beating foreman eclipses Floyd's entire career. Just because of the context, it's not Floyd's fault he never had a george foreman, it's just the way it is.

Foreman was on top of the world when Ali defeated him (by knockout moreover).

It's like Mayweather knocked off Pacquiao in 2009-2011.

In my humble opinion, Ali beating a prime, peak of his powers Foreman in the way that he did , is one of THE GREATEST EVER DISPLAYS OF BOXING IN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING HISTORY. Many boxing analysts, fellow pro's and the public in general were genuinely in fear of Ali's life, so dominant had Foreman been leading up to the 'Rumble in the Jungle'.

The whole mental mind games, the in ring generalship and fight tactics displayed by Ali was on a whole other level and it was pretty obvious to Ali himself that he had Foreman's number and that victory for him was never in doubt.

Mayweather boxed a safety first UD victory over a past prime, and likely carrying some sort of injury Paquiao, some 3-4 years after the fight should have happened. Had the fight happened then , I would still favour Mayweather but, by the slimmest of margins.

Ali on the other hand got in the ring with one of the most destructive Heavyweights ever to grace the sport and Foreman went on to prove his pedigree when he returned to Championship form well into his 40's. For me there us no comparison, and while Mayweather is the greatest of our generation, for me Ali is the greatest of all time. His resume is practically unmatched.

People where scared they thought Foreman would kill ali. Mayweather could have punched Manny a year straight without repercussions
