Celts in far north were defeated and driven out / assimilated by the Romans more than 2000 years ago. Germanic tribes did cause problems, it took a while to get rid of them but children of Romulus, Aeneas and Hercules still reign supreme. :smoking:

    Many still identify with Rome

The truth is that the biggest single tribal impact on political Italy is the German tribes, the nobility remained dominated by tribal Germans for so long & to this day Germanic affiliation is favorable in Italy.

The biggest cultural impact is the Roman culture, the Germans were culturally Romanized & didn't get to Germanize the Italian peasants-citizens as they did in England. After Conradin was beheaded, Germans like all the other invaders fell under a Papal led italianization that made the future unification possible.

He's not a heavyweight champion. He holds the "regular" belt. If we class this second-string belt as a legitimate heavyweight title, then we need to classify the WBC Silver heavyweight as such, and so on. It's ludicrous.

Lucas Browne was never a world heavyweight champion and neither was Alexander Povetkin.

To answer your question, Manuel Charr is not even a top 20 heavyweight fighter. That's how ludicrous this is. He's probably not even in the top 30, or top 35.

Boxers make belts, WBA regular is not legit for now, but if Holy wins the WBA Regular then beats WBA-S title holder & keeps the WBA regular belt...then WBA Regular becomes legit.

As of now WBA, WBC & WBO are playing this game. Fans should not be offended, the more belts become less relevant the better. Then focus shifts on making boxers face each other instead of strapping belts...

    WBO Regular > WBO Super
    WBA Super > WBA Regular
    WBC Regular > WBC Diamond

Only the Rome part is true.

I recall Mussolini trying to push that Germanic affiliation during his later years but it was only half-hearted and wasn't received well even among his fascists.

On the contrary Roman affiliation is much more favorable in Germany historically... and everywhere else rather than visce versa.

He is 36 years old, has been inactive for 2 years and is definitely ring rusty and over the hill.

Where does he rate today? Probably around top 30 at HW. Given he has been out of the ring for 2 years it is difficult to know exactly where he is and how much he has let himself go.

At his peak he was around top 15 at HW.

That is rather high praise, considering he got KTFO by a Cruiserweight(a good one), butchered by Povetkin and lost to Duhaupas.

Can someone please walk up and prod manual Charr with a stick.

When he wakes up ... ask him when tf he's going to fight again?

At least B+ level. The Kliczko stoppage took a lot out of him mentally, frustrated him deeply.
    Skill- and talentwise, B-level.
    Non negotiable.

Hey Boxing Fan it's Manuel Charr,
I'm the PED popping freak with a humongous scar,
When they tested my sample I thought I was stufffed,
But escaped when the B sample retest was fluffed,

I'm trying to stay relevant in the hope that I might,
Persuade Wilder or AJ to give me a fight,
They should steer very clear of this user of PEDS,
If you're following me still please get back on your meds,

If Dillianabol gets him in the ring and wins, would that mess up the hormonally depleted one’s ranking with WBC?
