Alvarez by decision for me. Is the superior boxer and has the mandible to not get clipped and stopped.
Alvarez by points. He's sturdy, physically big, has a good chin, strong and a better boxer than Smith.
I'd sooner see Smith in with someone else, maybe Browne, Pascal or Jack. But it's not a bad fight. I think Alvarez would win by decision.
This, and he throws good and fast combinations and he has great timing and accuracy. I think he'd win a clear and wide UD, with Smith coming forward and trying to win all night but to no avail, and I could even see Alvarez breaking Smith's jaw. Both have big power and great chins, I dont see either taking a trip to the canvas.
Smith doesn't really knock out the top light heavyweights (52 year old Hopkins doesn't count). He'd have some success, but Alvarez's class would tell over time.
Yeah he's always rubbed me the wrong way and I never got the hype. He robbed Kalajdzic and only beat Jack due to some unfortunate circumstances. I'd like to see those two get another crack at him.
Going for Smith here. I think he'd catch Alverez and stop him, but I can see Alverez winning on points. Can you make the polls public????
