Which boxers were in the most wars? Somewhat even fights with a lot of punishment dished out, would be interested in the number of wars also.

Gene Fullmer was the first I thought of. How would you like to fight SRR (4 times), Carmen Basilio (twice), Dick Tiger (3 times), Gil Turner (3 times), Benny (Kid) Paret, Florentino Fernandez, Eduardo Lausse and Joey Giardello? And most of these fights went the distance. My God.

I like this list and would definitely add Ruben Olivares, Arturo Gatti, Frank Fletcher, Micky Ward. Joe Frazier and Jerry Quarry were always in battles too.

Every Little Red fight was fun. Even just the ones that are 2-3 rounds. He’s on my Mount Rushmore of all-time exciting.

Nice list, I would be interested in the number of wars per fighter also, but that’s kind of hard to figure out.

I could make my favourite(s) from each? I obviously haven't seen every fight they were involved in tho.

Thomas Hearns seemed to be in a war often even with his nice skills. I am surprised he is not mentioned. His nose seems smashed in and he cannot speak well.
