Well if you hear from sheffield radio recently it was interesting insight that dom and kell (not making excuses) they was not happy with the spence camp, getting ill 2 times on anti-biotics upto 3 weeks before the fight, his dad wanted him to pull out, limited sparring due to illness and huge weight cut was contributing factor. They both feel Spence isn't as good as they make out, as that camp was a mess. Kell said GGG is hardest puncher and hardest fight he ever had, as he faught GGG in his prime and showed small pieces of blueprint how GGG is limited.
Heard it all before, same boring recycled excuses. Lol at both of them thinking Spence ain't that good.
I think them sort of excuses are standard from most fighters who get beat in there biggest fights! I do think the weight was a major issue for someone who has really pushed himself to make that weight for ten plus years , as porter showed v spence I don’t think there is much between all the main players at 147 brook spence porter Thurman . I just think brook was beat by the better man.
One of the America posters on the General Forum has De Luca as one of his Prospects of the Year. Looking at the lad's record this surprised me but I've never seen him box. Lose this and Kell will have to pack it in.
I wouldn't go that far, he's been a pro since 07, although since he was in the military, he took 4 years off from 2010 to 2014. But yeah, he's solid in every department, around Zerafa level, possibly a little bit better.
Avenged his SD defeat against Walter Wright, not to be confused with Walter White of breaking Bad fame, grabbing the NABA 154 strap in the process and then getting himself in place for the Brook fight by taking the 0 of Brandon Brewer at The Dunkin' Donuts Center. None of that is fictional.
Spence was far stronger and that came into play more and more as the fight went on. How much of that was Brook's own issues it's hard to say. I was a little suspicious about Spence's stamina and concussive power, especially with all the WBC hoo ha around him withdrawing from VADA, but then there's plenty of suspicion to go around, including Kell himself.
That's good to know, Brook is at a point now where those sort of fights are likely to be quite competitive too
I know @CST80 has highlighted Deluca as no mug for Brook’s opponent but I’ve just had a quick look at Marrero, he looks half handy. Could be a decent night of boxing this on Saturday.
