Really really well. Both lose to Steele and LaMotta but both beat Zale and Hostak imo. Apostli and Graziano too.
I agree but the Hostak and Graziano fights are very dangerous for Kalambay. Both hit alot harder then Nunn.
Eh, both were alot smaller and slower than Nunn and neither were as good at boxing. I think Kalambay could keep the two of them at bay. Although I do see your point
They wouldn't do bad imo, both mostly durable and skilled. McCallum v Lamotta would be interesting. Zale against Kalambay, Tony puts the heat on but loses on points.
In the decade preceding Robinson at middleweight ,[1940s] we have the following guys; Moore Abrams Belloise Williams Chase Basora Hostak Burley Apostoli Booker Cocoa Kid Sands Villemain Cerdan Lytell Charles Apostoli Lamotta Garcia With such a wealth of talent ,I think its very possible both get lost in the shuffle, particularly Kalambay, who wasn't exactly a crowd pleaser. Talent wise I feel they could hold their own and get a ranking, achieving more than that would be extremely difficult in such a stacked decade.imo
They lose to them. Steele was kod in 1 round in his prime at age 25 so maybe they beat him. But Zale would show McCallum what body slugging was about. Kulumbay loses to them all. LaMotta and Zale are all time greats.
