Cheating? You are allowed to punch people in the neck. Anything above the waist and in the front or side of the body is fair game. Lot of fighters aim for the throat, with the thinking that if the opponent dips, you'll blast them in the chin.
Enlighten me, when exactly did they ban neck punches? The neck isn't the back of the head, it's not necessarily a scoring shot, but neither are punches to the arms or shoulders, but they're not illegal either. As long as he's not aiming at his brain stem or the back of his neck, he's fine.
Killing a person in a boxing ring unintentionally is legal Killing a person in a boxing ring intentionally is Questionable... Same logic applies to those pesky neck punches Denzel Washington a solid boxer himself...loves to Neck-Check the bad guys.... Please show me one example of Wilder punching someone in the neck. Or any fighter being punched in the neck deliberately for that matter. It's almost impossible to do. The throat is protected in any boxing stance (the chin is literally right in front there like a helmet guard to the throat) ), and any side punches to the neck is considered a rabbit punch. None of this matters because the OP is mad at something that doesn't exist and never occurred with Wilder. Literally a strawman and red herring logical fallacy rolled into one.
If a boxer doesn't tuck his chin, he can get hit on the neck. Hamed got hit on the neck clean more than once in his career, Valero got hit on the neck in one of the fights...Inoue also might get caught on his neck in the future. Those guys neck is exposed because of the way the load their punches & their visual contact during exchanges helps them absorb punches better...Reviewing Fury fights you can see Fury neck fully exposed in many times while he is changing angles, aiming for the neck is unorthodox but very effective vs Fury, if Fury tucks his chin more than usual, he will get caught on his chin more often...Lets see how this works out...
"Aiming for his neck" really just means trying to locate Fury's center of gravity. Instead of throwing shots at his eyes, which is the human temptation, he's going to try to focus on a part of the face where there's less movement. Wilder also says he tries to punch through his opponent, so training himself this way is normal for him. This is a stupid troll thread, anyway.
