In what way? Canelo was paid more than GGG in both of their fights.

    Don’t move the goalposts.

Canelo made the concessions and gave GGG a bigger pot than he deserved

After racing, boxing has been a close 2nd for me over the years. That has been pretty much it for me; racing and boxing. Some years more-so than others, but I too feel less inclined with boxing now. From around March last year I boycotted any PPV's over and above my basic subscription, but I did pay to see Ruiz defend his titles only to witness his utter disregard to the fans. Then there were the bad decisions, the Whyte situation where anyone involved stayed tight lipped, Tyson's silly but mass money making shennanigans, Wilder's cherry picking - the list goes on. Sum total is that I won't be paying for Wilder / Tyson 2 or any fight in 2020 and instead will be using my time doing other things.

Fans getting shafted has been on the rise for a while now. The influx of football fans who get shafted all the time by that sport has actually helped the PPV model here.

Did you stop watching them because you just lost interest, or was it more of a political point?

I don't pay for every PPV fight; obviously something like Fury Schwarz feels ridiculous. But I can't pretend I wasn't interested in seeing, and ultimately really enjoyed, watching Taylor Prograis. I don't think there would ever be a point when a fight like that could be happening and I'd think 'nah, I'd rather not.'

I'm not sure there was any single point where I thought "that's it", though Ruiz's actions have not helped. We had that thread about the 25 quid fight and I was more than happy to pay for it, but everything from Ruiz's camp proved to be a lie when the big reveal came at the weigh in. After the fight I felt like we had been royally shafted by everyone who took part and made money on the event. And we had the Whyte business which was brushed under the carpet with no real explanation and none will be forthcoming. And the constant backwards and forwards between promoters with denials and accusations. It's draining, time consuming and it's getting worse. So maybe the decision to not buy any more fights is partially political. My lack of buys will be a piddle in the ocean in the grand scheme of things, but it's my choice, at least for the rest of this year.
