I think it says something that a guy can start boxing late, have very low skills and just go in and knock everyone he faces out because he has superior speed and power. Knocking guys out like ortiz who has boxed his entire life and has 100's of amateur fights and high level skills. Almost knocking out tyson fury who is an extremely hard boxer to land clean on.
Ortiz had his age (and health) against him. If he was 10 years younger, or even genuinely the age that his papers say he is, he would probably KOd Wilder the first time around.
