If Tyson Fury beats Deontay Wilder and never fights again afterwards where do you rate him all-time?

Not very highly, but a convincing win over Wilder will be a much greater victory than his slap flight with Wlad.

He would still rank very highly amongst british HWs, but that's not saying a lot.

Much respect to Lennox Lewis though, but he was Jamacian

His best wins would be 40yo wlad and wilder, oh and also the war he won against atg wallin . Prob top 70-80.

he looked like absolute crap the fight before Fury versus Jennings. Klitschko was losing it, everyone loses to father time. that just doesn't suit your narrative.

Bandeedo, you sure on that? Ruiz has it all to prove again and I doubt he has the discipline for it.

That's what I'm seeing when I look at them. People make all kinds of excuses for how Fury has looked recently, when he's been fighting at the level I expected and said he would.
I don't think Fury has the pop to discourage Ruiz and I don't think he can handle the quick combination punching. I think Ruiz gets inside and unloads enough to lump up Fury.

Ruiz just looked too horrible in his last fight for me to give him that much credit but I get a better conditioned Ruiz has the speed to upset Fury inside, although Fury is highly adept at range. A fight I'd like to see though.

Neither one is very professional, so lack of preparation is a wash, I'm just going on their level of skill and effectiveness in the ring.

Fury's resume is horrible out side an old shot Wlad. He fought a bunch of British level and euro-level guys and he's also like watching paint dry in most of his fights.

So then how did he get back into it with AJ ?? All explosive and nearly KO'ing him?

Around top 52-53. Not bad for an unmotivated, impulsive, fat and lazy village idiot like him.

If he beat Wilder, no way he retires, he'd fight AJ at least. He also has a contract for his three fights, so if he's winning, unlikely he goes off the rails and breaches contract.

If he did go AWOL after Wilder fight win, he'd have beaten the two hardest punchers in HW history. So not a bad effort.

The truth is, and it's sort of funny in a way, Fury will never get proper credit for his boxing skill because being a white man he'll be dismissed by the usual suspects but also being a 'traveller' many whites hate him too.

AJ isn't that good. He just got ko'd by a tub of lard with little power, didn't he?
