Used to be a big fan and didn’t even mind his tick when fighting but recently he’s just not doing enough to convince me he’s a great fighter and just feel disappointed. What exactly is he waiting for, a big money fight? Instead of wasting all these years talking, he could’ve easily worked his way up ranks and gotten better fights, regardless of he lost or not.
I find him to be one of the most boring fighters in the sport. And he always ends up on a card with a fight I want to see. His fights suck the energy out of the building. They are so monotonous.
LSC won't stay long in boxing, especially in 130. Someone new in the rank will knock him out from his throne sooner or later. He is nothing special and probably the worst four division champion I've ever seen. The only thing about him that interest me is only reading all the hilarious comments about him in the forum.
I just tried to watch Santa Cruz’s most recent fight, which I had recorded along with the Wilder vs Ortiz fight a while back, and I couldn’t make it to the end without falling asleep. Something about his fights is just so boring. He needs to fight Berchelt or some other top fighter and stop wasting time with no-name guys.
Because uncle Al over-pays him for mediocre fights, he probably doesn't feel the need to take dangerous fights. His career is successful on paper but it really has developed into a bit of a disappointment for the boxing fan.
Agree, he is full of ****, and a ducker. He would have been embarrassed by Rigondeaux, and he showed he still doesn't have balls by ducking Russell Jr.
I believe he's fighting one now. In GRJ's defense, however, I am not sure a lot of the other belt holders/top contenders at 126lbers were all that eager to fight him.
He could still turn it around, but I don't get what hes thinking some times. Hes fought good fighters. Frampton twice, Mares twice, Mijares, Terrazas, but recently, he seems to have become more of a businessman. Theres fights for him. GRJ, Tank, even Colbert is looking more of an option as time goes by. They should all be easy fights to make.
Did he duck GRJ? I don’t think LSC is a bad fighter at 126. He has no business fighting north of featherweight. Would like to see him fight at his natural weight but he seems interested in jumping around and not fighting any of the top guys. Looks like he’s going to get paid to lose to Davis but I’m not sure if he’s talking about 135 or bringing Davis down to 130. Good luck with that, Davis had trouble making 135 last fight.
