Before you all laugh, keep this in mind.....Wilder has been known to spark opponents out with a clean shot and his punching power has bailed him out more than once. Lewis, while a better overall fighter, could be had by Wilder's straight right hand and Wilder is better than McCall and Rahman. So Wilder has a good chance here.

Can I laugh now? Wilder does not have a good chance...maybe a good chance at meeting a pretty nurse at the hospital that LL sends him to.

Wilder has a good chance of ending up in hospital bed as a vegetable and a meme.

You're being facetious. If they were fighting tomorrow night, you'd favor Lewis but you also would think Lewis had better be careful as well.

    No, I'm really not.

If the 97 Lennox Lewis stepped in the ring against Wilder from the Ortiz fights, my exact thoughts would be "**** staying up to watch a fight that's not gonna last 2 rounds"

By how much would you favour Lewis?

Lewis fought very aggressive against tall fighters. One sneaky shot from Wilder and this fight might be over too. But I see Lewis landing better shots here.

What about Wilder swinging at that 30" samoan neck stumbling on his backfoot round for round ?

Lewis would be very wary of Wilders power and when Lewis fights safe like that he’s at his best. I think he boxes the crap out of Wilder for 2-3 rounds and lands a bomb which KO’s Wilder.

    It’s a mismatch.

30" neck, lol! Approaching 20" is about right.

Deontay has chance at cracking at least the top 15 ATG with his fight against Fury. But it's still a little early too tell imo. I mean, can't get past the fact he's had the title five years and remains undefeated.

I also happen to like Deontay as a fighter way more than the other guys (AJ, Fury). AJ to me still has something to prove, while Fury's heavyweight Slapsie Maxie style really bores me. I want Deontay to be the man on top.

But when it comes to LL, we're talking about an existent top 5 ATG. To me only Holy, Ali, Holmes, and Louis are above him.

Pre-Steward Lewis woud hang in there and probably shake up Deontay at least a couple of times. But Deontay does eventually land that right flush...and the hook is pretty damn badass too. Lewis goes out cold within 9.

Steward Lewis makes Wilder look really bad, ever chasing and missing a lot of wild swings. I haven't seen Deontay go down or out , so at this time I can't imagine him getting stopped. But Lewis would get an overwhelming unanimous decision verdict imo. I just can't see Deontay landing flush much, Lewis was just so improved with Steward in some ways he was almost a different fighter imo.

Against tall guys who could reach him and who carried power, Lewis went for the kill early. An early exit 8 times out of 10 for Mr. Wilder.

And for sure, it wouldn't have. You'd have read about the results the next day and it would have vindicated you.

Perhaps of all the heavyweight champions of the past, Lennox Lewis would have been uniquely qualified and able to demolish Wilder early...and decisively.
