    I very much doubt
    Dempsey
    Louis
    Liston
    Foreman
    Lewis
    Tyson
    Holyfield
    Wlad
    Vitali
    Could manage to negociate the formidable line up that Marciano triumphed over,men the calibre of;
    Epperson0-0-0
    Bilazarian3-5-0
    Edwards1-1-0
    Weeks 0-0-6
    Jackson 4-2-0
    Hardeman1-4-0
    Cardone 0-0-0
    Jefferson2-2-0
    Connolly 8-5-0
    Ferron 4-10-0
    Pretzie 9-5-0
    Donato7-10 -0
    Walls 9-15-1
    Evans18-7-0
    Mogard17-9-1
    Haft 12-7-0
    Louthis30-13-5
    DiGorgio9-9-0
    Dominic 18-10-0
    Eatman22-20-5
    Buonvino22-11-7
    Schkor30-18-2
    Lowry 66-57-19
    Simmons 8-8-0
    Mitchell 4-14-3
    Henri 13-15-1
    Applegate 11-14-2

They fact that 13 of the above were 185lbs or under would give them too much of an advantage over the bigger lumbering names I mentioned.
Even if they managed to squeeze by such Titans, the odds on them emerging victorious from facing the likes of

Lastarza ,Layne,Mathews , & Cokkell are exceedingly slim.
The very idea that they might beat a 38/40 years old light heavyweight , a 38years old champion , a 33 years old ex champ with nearly100 fights on his clock ,or defeat the legendary Brown Bomber would be ridiculous!
    Much too big an ask!!!

    Now we are talking.
So what is that 49-0 all about? LHW Charles, a late-bloomer in his very last fights, and another LHW that age?

What stops Michael Spinks (without any weight limit) going through that bunch?

Rockista's will say I am disparaging Marciano.I'm not, I'm disparaging the absurd importance they put on Rocky beating the likes of those humpty dumpties without incurring a loss!

The question really is who can beat an aged Jersey Joe Walcott, the rest really were competitive just aged and fortunately in a safer heavyweight divison.

I don’t pick many modern guys to replicate that feat. Who knows how these guys look like without steroids? They don’t get the benefit of a time machine they’d have to train with what they have. Also have to train for 15 rounds which benefits the healthier guys. Ali Louis Holmes Tyson Frazier probably Foreman Liston and Lewis. Don’t really see anyone else replicating it. I’d pick Fury but don’t know how he is roid less.

It’s not disparaging at all IMO to assume that some elite ATG HWs go undefeated against his resume.

you know who else accomplished that feat? Marciano.

That’s the funny thing. He did exactly what you’d expect an elite ATG would do. And it’s not just theory, he actually did it.

Jesus... yes, everyone post-1955 took steroids. And I suppose you have the proof in hand.

Hint: You know that you have no argument when you start using this sort of wild blanket supposition as the base of your support.

Are you implying steroids aren’t rampant in boxing? Are you that naive? Don’t get me wrong I think every other champion would have taken them too. But we already know their skill set. Maybe Holyfield’s career is a lot more dull? Maybe Fury never makes it to the top? Povetkin? Idk these are just a few of the names who got caught. I would bet a large sum of money all these guys are on something. I’m sure AJ is all natural though smh
You also know steroids came about much later then 55...at least I hope you do.

We take the boxers like they were, since you got no idea who took something (anabolic) and who didn´t (or took fat burner to go down for example). Why? Fantasy duells make no sense making another guess of state 2 of that certain boxer. Puposeless.

So who stops Michael Spinks or Herbie Hide from going 49 - 0 ?

    I don't know.

What I do know is that no other lineal heavyweight champion, has been able to replicate the feat, in any other era.

That suggests to me that it is pretty hard to replicate.

Bowe, Ike, Tua, Spinks, Byrd and Vitali come to mind.

Guys like Mercer, Witherspoon & could beat everyone on the list but I can't help thinking they'd **** it away and take a loss to someone they shouldn't.

Carl Williams could do it, Norton would do it imo. Usyk would run that like a gauntlet. Wilder would do it.

As I said, there's to many to name.
