He shouldn’t have signed a contract with them then. They were willing to take a gamble and deserve to reap the rewards. But if they have breached the contract then fair enough.
He can chose who to sign a contract with, he obviously feels that Cyclone have taken him as far as they can and its time to move on. Would you rather TopRank or Cyclone promoted you if your dream was to fight the big fights in America? The truth is, Cyclone arent big enough to compete at the top table. They do a good job to a certain level but they arent going to topple TR, GB, MR or Warren.
I didn’t realise he was 30. So yeah he really did need to go now and get the most out of his career and earning potential. Good luck to him.
The problem is Frampton ended up with Warren, who doesn't have the clout of Arum. Arum has the means to take care of this outside of court.
the small bits and pieces I’ve seen with the Frampton court case seems to keep getting delayed and pushed back to a new date, everytime I’ve tried to check for any updates there doesn’t seem to be much on it on the internet.
Interview on boxing social with Shane. I do feel bad for Shane but can’t help but think Barry plays an integral part with the collapse in relationships with their bigger fighters
As a trainer you shouldnt be taking the side of your fighters promoter rather than your fighter. Shane is as much a snake as his father it seems.
Always gonna side with his dad tbf. Big thing about Josh Taylor being unified and die an t even have any sponsors!!
cyclone is a family business , I don’t think he is going to take sides with Taylor over his dad and brother.
Cyclone have done a really good job with Josh but this is really as far as they can take him. But why go to Bob Arum? He's not shady in the same way as Mcguigan but Arum pretty much hates every other promoter out there and matches within his own stable most of the time.
Shane seemed genuinely gutted but he didn’t invest his time and effort for free. It’s his job, and I suspect he did more than alright financially out of training Taylor
They have taken him to the top of the division in 16 fights and he's gotten two belts in the process as well as winning the wbss. Taylor would of been a massive attraction for any fighter regardless of who's promoting him. Its a lazy excuse to suggest he can't go any further with cyclone promotions.
