Qwai/Braxton taking it to James Scott forcing Scott on his toes.
Briscoe doing the same to Hagler

Actually Hearns against Virgil Hill or Hearns against Benitez. Hearns was sort of the guy who outboxed boxers and outpunched punchers. Yet, in other fights the boxer outpunched him like with Leonard in 1981.

Everyone mentioned Hearns vs Leonard for Hearns out boxing Leonard. BUT , everyone seemingly forgets Leonard out slugged Hearns 1st fight.

Gatti getting Floyd Patterson's title by boxing & not slugging. Stats had him throwing over 500 jabs which wasn't Arturo's usual style. & when he got hit, he didn't resort to brawling-kept Tracy at the end of his jab all night.

No drugs and no Amsterdam. Just stating what I heard Futch say between rounds during the original telecast.

Gatti was a exciting slugger and amongst the most entertaining boxers of recent times but he wouldn’t have much of a chance against Floyd Patterson, Still, would go down slugging though.

I think his adopted son’s name was originally Tracy Harris and when Floyd adopted him when he was in his teens, he changed it legally to Tracy Harris Patterson which is the name he also used during his own boxing career.

Barkley did not outbox him he was more active and his style. That is a stylistic matchup because of Barkley as a fighter.

Hearns was a superior outboxer to Leonard because of his reach and how fast his jab and straight right was. If you recall in their first fight, Leonard had to pressure Hearns to secure the victory.

Hearns was the stalking, long armed power puncher, and Leonard the more dynamic, multifaceted, versatile, swiss army knife.
