Kovalev also had a rushed turnaround having been in all sorts of trouble in his previous fight and a rehydration clause so meh.

Can't remember if there was any 'A-side' skullduggery in the Jacobs fight but yeah that was a fight I was slightly surprised to see get made although it made sense to take that risk to rebuild his rep after the Golovkin controversies.

Mayweather, Lara , Trout , GGG and Jacobs were "stylistically nightmare " for Canelo, Canelo was supposed to ducked them all, And guess what? He fought them all and proved critics like you wrong, Now Saunders has looked terrible in his last two fights, he won't be no match for Canelo, Not to mention this fight is still not official let's wait and see what happens.

    Same rehydration clause.
It´s the exact same rehydration the IBF mandates. I don´t see why people are complaining about it, other than the fact that it´s Canelo who is demanding it.

Reminds me of when Floyd started demanding his version of PED testing. Quite a few got really upset at him.

Noone wanted to duck cash cow Mayweather regardless of his style and they still jobbed him out of a UD with that one ridiculous card.

Lara and Trout were good wins back when I liked Canelo. Then he acted like a pampered punk at middleweight he waited out the guy recognised at the time as the top dog in the division and as I've said then had a good match up with Jacobs before grabbing a fake belt at 168 and taking a calculated but slightly risky cherry pick against a shopworn claused up Kovalev.

Because fighters shouldn't be making the rules to suit themselves.

No not in a controlled sport.
But Boxing has the entertainment industry rules anything goes.

Once they get on top i can understand why they start pulling that A-side stuff.
It is alot harder to rise to fame in the boxing game I say f it let them!

It's sport. It should be uniformly regulated.

Should be. But if it’s at 160 there could be issues. Better for it to be at 164

    Agreed.
But it’s treated more like the entertainment business because it is not governed.

    Careful what you wish for...
If it was governed by lawyers like other leagues (NFL) this sport would have been banned & bankrupt by lawsuits long ago.

or changed to where it would be cringe worthy while watching like the NFL is becoming.

Such a great point. We've seen what's happened to the NFL. Crazy rule changes, kickoffs being slowly phased out because they have been deemed "too dangerous". Say what you want about the way boxing is run, but don't complain too much, because Boxing is still Boxing. And you can't say that about a lot of other sports which have been heavily watered down.

The hate Canelo inspires is pretty mental. Seems everything he does gets downplayed to ridiculous level. He took such advantage of an obviously shot fighter. Yet, every single smw was too chicken **** to go up and get the glory that beating The most popular lhw would bring, not to mention the money.
Now everyone pretends like it was a foregone conclusion that kova was old and finished, when not a single one of you mentioned it pre fight announcement.
Why wasn't it mentioned? Because not one of you had a clue about it. Now everyone is an expert on why and how kova got his ass whooped. Truth is, rewriting narratives to fit an agenda is weak. Had Smith or some other darling been the one to do exactly what canelo did, they would still be trying to pry some of you off his tool.

If it had been a legitimate loss I'd have been the first to congratulate Ginger but it wasnt. GGG kicked Ginger Balls ass both times. Best part is Ginger KNOWS he cannot beat GGG hence no fight in MSG

(yawn) at least Murata is not 40yrs old.

Nonetheless, i suppose the odds are set at 50-1??

    Yeah, not tuning in.
