Whyte will even look more amateurish and sluggish against usyk then he normally looks. Usyk paints a schooling of the highest order on whyte. Whyte is just a tough sob with a good left hook. No defense, bad stamina, miserable footwork and bad technique. He is also not much taller than usyk. Some guys have here to accept that usyk will only have some worries with fury. The rest will get the school teachment
I think this is all getting out of hand, we need an Usyk-Chisora talk-ban till then fight happens. Famboyism for Usyk is breaking the internet when this is his first proper HW test
I'd like to see Chisora bashed up, but not sure if Usyk will do enough damage to Chisora to make it satisfying. Obviously Usyk is getting money here, but seems a waste to fight someone who is absolutely nothing like the 'top three' in the division, proportionally or style wise. Usyk should fight taller, rangier fighters to prepare him better for Wilder/Joshua.
Its a good fight for two reasons. It makes Usyk v Joshua a bigger event if/when it happens at the end of the year .. No belt gets vacated so when Usyk challenges Joshua after Pulev it will be against a real champ for all 3 belts. Thats what i wanted to see all along. The fight itself should be pretty good , and will warrant the PPV with a decent undercard.
I know these are Hearn's rumblings so not historically reliable but he says he wants the card to include Hrgovic-Bakole, Avanesyan-Kelly, Benn-Garton and Buatsi against someone. That would be a terrific little card IMO
Its stats like this that i think are gonna make him a handful a HW. The last 4 rounds of that fight he threw 400 odd punches. When he turns the screw, hes gonna make it hard wok esp when most dont want to stand and trade and want to wait for an opening then they best get him out early before he just overwhelms them with punches. Everyone says he doesn't have stopping power but when a 220+ pound man is punching you in the head literally hundreds of times then thats gonna have some effect.
Chisora is the Bert Cooper of this era! I'm cool with this. I think it will be entertaining for as long as it lasts. Unless Derek can take his shots, then an entertaining 12 rounds. Haven't seen Chisora's last couple of fights(all the way through) -not sure how much he's got left to test, but definitely a test as opposed to my boy C. Witherspoon. His trying=to just showing up.
Chisora is doing pretty well at the moment - still looks to have plenty in the tank at least a certain level. Usyk took 7 rounds to get rid of a nobody. Could be a few reasons for that but at some point Del boy should be able to put something on him. Usyk is there to be hit. I expect a route points or late stoppage on accumulation for Usyk but i'm hoping Del Boy can have his moments and then we know how much a threat Usyk will be
I dont think it will really tell us anything we don't already know. Chisora is made for Usyks style. Other than Chisora landing a bomb there is nothing else to see really.
Have to agree with other posts about Haye being the reference point when it comes to Chisora. Usyk has to beat an older Chisora more impressively than Haye did or questions will have to be asked about his potential at HW.
