Is it possible for a Boxer to have good record (20+ wins ) and never get a title fight ?

Excluding interim, regular and the IBO belt you'd have prospects like Rashidi Ellis, Alessandro Riguccini, Mark Magsayo and Jaron Ennis. Sure Damian Jonak went 41-0-1 before losing his 0 earlier this year.

 

Arnold Barboza Jr, Adam Kownacki, Esquiva Falcao, Roman Andreev, Aaron Alameda, Carlos Castro, Zhankosh Turarov, Dylan Charrat, David Papot, Jordi Weiss, Joseph Aguirre, Jose Matias Romero, Lennox Allen, Thomas Patrick Ward, William Zepeda, D'Mitrius Ballard, Erik Bazinyan, Irving Turrubiartes, Derrieck Cuevas are another few for ya there.

If youre not getting title shots with an undefeated record +20 victories youre either being avoided because you scare the sh@t out of the top guys that aren't into high risk low reward or you just aint as good as your record says.

 

I have an obsession with finding pumped up records that are ripe for the picking by prospects looking for good looking records to have on their own win column so it's no skin off my nose. Appreciate the respect, I shall return the favour and grant you mine too.

20 seems to be near the magic number in the UK although in other countries I imagine promoters will pad out fighters records with a hope of selling that undefeated record. The only undefeated 20 plus without a world title shot from the UK are:

Thomas Patrick Ward 29-0
Jack Catteral 25-0
James Metcalf 20-0
Darren Tetly 19-0

There are plenty of fighters with 1 or more loss and more than 20 wins still without a title fight so it's interesting that just one loss can seriously derail your world title ambitions. There are also plenty sitting on 17-0, 18-0 or 19-0 waiting for their opportunity and I can see why as the stakes increase dramatically around this time.

Most fighters with 20-0 (even 30-0) record don't get title shots.

 

That's because they loose. There are not many undefeated fighters from the UK recently who have gone 30+ undefeated without a title shot. The situation will be different in other countries but for the UK that is almost unheard of.

 

That's one tiny little country. You can't extrapolate global norms from an island the size of Alabama.
