Sadly, I'm not 100% convinced that one is even going to happen. Don King was attempting to shut it down, staking his legal claim on Makabu. I'll feel more confident if and when they announce some undercard match-ups..

Gonna be dead honest: I'm ¼ Italian myself (well, Sicilian - my people and those on the mainland sometimes bristle at being lumped together, but...that's a whole kettle of fish ) and I've literally never even heard of the city of Pomezia, where this card is taking place. Apparently they are the seventh most populous city in the province of Lazio (where Rome is).

 

Ah, never mind, Pomezia is a suburb of Rome, actually, part of its Metropolitan area but technically its own comune (or town).

 

The delay since the last fight is now about to eclipse the whole length of the combined undercard.

 

Now verging on absurdly long..

 

There were five minutes separating the De Ieso vs. di Balla scorecards being read and the first bell ringing for Vraja vs. Vasarhelyi to begin.

Twenty-five minutes have now passed since Vasarhelyi was kayoed, and we haven't even started the main event ring walks yet.

Common opponent:

Leonardo Damian Bruzzese. Cataldo was knocked out in 5 rounds by him in 2011; and Versaci retired on his stool after 7 rounds against him two years later.

 

Cataldo in black with gold trim w/ matching shoes; Versaci in white & gold, white sneakers & socks.

 

Cataldo is coming off a loss last summer to Tommy McCarthy, quitting after 2 rounds.
