Nobody is arguing about Broner and Berto.

The point is, he'd never have bowed out and tried to have reached 50-0 by fighting guys like Bradley and Thurman. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. He wouldn't have taken those kinds of risks.

Manny was clearly injured in the fight. It was very visible with the tactics that he employed.

He had a tear, which was bad enough for him to require surgery on it 4 days later.

Or are you disputing that he had surgery?

Or you saying the reports were fake?

    https://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story...iao-undergoes-surgery-torn-right-rotator-cuff

    The IV was a joke.

    The TUE was retroactive.

He couldn't possibly have been so dehydrated that he needed it.

    Severely dehydrated from what?

Also, it was officially classed as a medical emergency which should have required hospital admittance.

The whole thing stinks. And the irony is, he'd slandered Manny for years without a shred of evidence.

118-110 was when Mayweather had nothing left to prove. 50-0 is just effective marketing and a fake record because it's been done already.

What Manny did was have an elective surgery for a longstanding injury. He was using steroids with a TUE before that to fight normally. If it were bad, he would've had the surgery before and they would've fought in September. I had the same injury, probably worse, and never got surgery.

A TUE for saline is retroactive due to the nature of the condition (acute). It's the reason why retroactive TUE's exist and he was cleared.

Don't try and tell me that his shoulder wasn't a factor in the fight when he had surgery on it 4 days later.

I don't care that Floyd was cleared.

Have you never heard the Bob Dylan line:

    "Money doesn't talk, it swears"

He couldn't possibly have been severely dehydrated to the point where he needed an IV.

    Again, severely dehydrated from what?

    Tell me.

And it wasn't administered in a hospital, it was administered on his sofa.

You can't quote these official policies and procedures to me, whilst ignoring the fact that had Floyd gone through the official channels, it would have been classed as a medical emergency.

No objective person is going to buy that.

    1. Learn what the word “elective” means. He could’ve had surgery at any point in years prior and strategically had it at a time before a layoff that not coincidentally helped him save face with his fanatics.
    2. 38 year old men can become dehydrated from making weight. Manny actually was on drugs so it’s the lessor of the two.

    Ha!

    This is Pimp C level.

So it had no effect on him in the fight?

Floyd NEVER had an issue making weight.

He was only 3.5 pounds out at the 30 day weigh-in.

He couldn't possibly have been so severely dehydrated that he'd have needed an IV, which again, was officially classed as a medical emergency which should have resulted in him going to hospital.

Are you seriously trying to tell me that you didn't have an issue with his reasoning, and that he had it administered on his home sofa?

You don't think that that was suspicious?

    Lesser of the 2?

    What drugs was Manny on?

Look up the TUE’s. It’s publicly disclosed.

When I tore my shoulder, there was no way I was lifting it above my head. It wasn’t physically possible. That injury was old news for Manny.

I'm not disputing what happened to you when you tore your shoulder.

It depends on the severity of it.

Yes, it may have been a longstanding issue for him. But I could see in the fight that something was amiss, and then he had surgery on it just 4 days later.

Now I'm willing to accept that had Manny been 100% fit, Floyd may still have won comfortably. But Manny was definitely hampered by the issue.

Regarding Floyd, again, he can't possibly have been dehydrated to the point where he needed the IV.

We're looking at 2 things here:

    1. The plausibility of it.

    2. The fact that he didn't follow the correct procedure.

Applying for a retroactive TUE doesn't change the above.

An IV feels good. I think Floyd was dehydrated and wanted an IV and his people asked the USADA people if he could get cleared for it and they let him (unofficially, then issued the TUE after).

If you think he masked something, tell me what PED he would take right before the fight after passing all of the tests in training? If he took a diuretic, why would he come in at 146 instead of 147 and why would it be the same weight as every welter fight since Marquez?

On to Manny, show me where in the fight he had restricted movement? The severity of a rotator cuff tear can be diagnosed by restrictions in movement. You can see it with Vitali v. Byrd. Korobov immediately stopped fighting. Can't see **** with Manny and Floyd was winning clearly since the first bell rang.

    An IV feels good?

I can't debate with you anymore.

It's like shooting somebody and then saying that it was the victims fault for getting in the way of the bullets.

    Get real.

If Floyd was dehydrated he'd have had a drink.

If he was severely dehydrated to the point where he'd have needed an IV like that, it would have been administered in a hospital under a doctor/nurse.

He couldn't possibly have required that after all the hard work had been done and he only needed to drop 3.5 pounds, 30 days out.

You have still not told me HOW he could have been severely dehydrated.

    It's both laughable and illogical.

You know that it's banned because it can be used as a masking agent.

If you couldn't see how Manny was hampered, you have no understanding of what you're watching.

    We'll leave it there.

    Don't bother replying.

I can't debate with a guy who says that an IV feels good.

    I'm out.

You seem upset. You don't need to be in the hospital to receive an IV and you have no clue what type of medical professional administered the IV. USADA stated that the IV was disclosed to them and Pacquiao was informed before the fight. He didn't protest and had no foot to stand on having had a TUE for WADA banned corticosteroids.

Now tell me where Pacquiao's motion was restricted what PED Mayweather was on after having passed all of those tests.

    I'm not upset.

It's just pointless continuing when you say things like: "An IV feels good"

An IV of that magnitude is classed as a medical emergency. That's a fact.

All throughout this thread, you have repeatedly listed the policies and the procedures. Yet following official guidelines, the would had to have been taken to hospital.

A fighter doesn't just receive 750ml of saline on his sofa, because he feels dehydrated.

And again, severely dehydrated from what?

He didn't have to dehydrate to make weight.

He barely did anything in those last 3-4 days leading up to the fight. He was winding down.

I don't care what official statements were made. It is highly, highly suspicious. And it's baffling that you fail to acknowledge it. Requesting a TUE AFTER having the IV is a joke. It's pretty obvious that it was only disclosed as he had no option. It was deemed illegal by WADA.

Face it, if Manny had done that, you'd have jumped on it.

    Run along you clown.

You answer questions with a question because you have no logical explanation to put forward.

    You're a time waster.

Find someone else to debate you.

Answer my questions first. It’ll support your stance better than the long winded substance less style you use.
