Joshua v Fury is a all British fight, the only place it should take place is the UK, it would be a joke if it took place in the US never mind that **** hole Saudi Arabia, all the above fighters biggest domestic fights took in the UK.
Has anyone actually even watched the interview? “For me it has to happen in the UK. Two British fighters, it should happen in the UK...” Pathetic some of the word twisting on here.
At the end of the day its not Eddie who would decide location, it's the two fighters. If they fight it would likely be a 2 fight deal.
It makes perfect sense that an all British heavyweight fight should be in Britain. However you just can’t argue with the logic when it comes to the money. And better Saudi than the States time wise.
It’s the latter bit that bothers me. That was a huge ring against Ruiz, let’s not forget that. Joshua used every inch of that ring and the fat lad couldn’t get near him. They seem to love Joshua over there and I wonder how much a fair deal an opponent would get in terms of the ring, judges etc. As Scissors said, both Joshua and Fury are as bad as the other when it comes to putting the money first. I just think it would be the biggest British heavyweight fight of all time and to put that several thousand miles away in a desert would be **** poor.
Neither feat the two best Brit HWs of recent times And to answer you question, i dont know and neither do you unless you carried out a nationwide survey
They might need to hold the fight in Saudi so Wembley doesn't end up an 80,000 man battle royale. We all saw what happened the last time Fury fought in the UK and if you add in Joshua's LDN supporters and the usual powder lads it's got huge riot potential. Saudi obviously have a lot of issues but no worse than the UK or the USA.
Traditionally the British fighter has been the B side against an American A side or has decided to base themselves in America on a near permanent basis for financial reasons. There’s no real difference in someone like Hatton fighting Malignaggi, Pacquiao, Urango and so on in Vegas than there is Joshua or Fury fighting in Saudi Arabia. People who want to contribute as little as possible financially to the sport will moan, and that’s absolutely fine, but it’s rather amusing that the people who moan endlessly about twenty quid are moaning about people choosing an option potentially worth many millions more.
100% this happens at Wembley Stadium in front of 100,000+ spectators generating the highest PPV figures in history
I want it to take place in the Thunderdome. I want a post apocalyptic setting with Tina Turner and flamethrowers and some kind of undercard involving armoured oil tankers and microlight planes fighting each other. Surely its not too much to ask for 19.99? But no one ever listens to the fans.
It’ll generate the highest domestic figures regardless owing to Joshua’s popularity and the Saudi timezone to be fair. The question will ultimately be whether the Saudi cash offer will be beyond that of Wembley. If it is, it makes too much sense not to take it unless the differences are minimal. It’s fine to say both men are rich and they are, but if both can make a hundred million or something mental from a Saudi fight why wouldn’t they?
The fans supported Joshua and Hearn and made them what they are today, Fury on the other hand owes the public nothing, they hated him and he was vilified in the press.
