I like Foster against a lot of historys best 175 pounders, but I dont think he has much hope at all with Charles outside the old punchers chance.
Foster hasn`t beat anybody good enough that you could pick him over a man that beat Lesnevich,Moore, Bivins ,Maxim and Louis.

Finnegan gave Foster alot of problems with straight punches im sure Ezzard could utilise this for a close close UD

Charles for me, if anyone can get the stoppage over him in fantasy fights it would be Foster though, i just think Charles could mix it up with variety and ultimately outfight him in a close one.

I think Foster would give him a damn good run meself. His jab would be a telling factor.

This basically sums up my evaluation. I pick Charles because he was far more proven against top competition.

Great match up here. The best, and of the best fighters at 175, ever imo.

Foster's strengths were pretty much his awkward aggression and all-round versatility in his left hand. Prime Charles figured and nearly shut out a prime Jersey Joe Walcott, one of the most awkward fighters ever, and timed him repeatedly. Bob threw a lot of jabs, which Ezz mastered countering, his movement to the left-hand side would also stimey Foster's hook. He'd start landing straight rights over the top and then flurrying after he hurt Foster. Ezzard was faster and smarter than Bob too, he'd be able to exploit the opportunities and openings he created quicker than Foster could cover them up. Not to mention, Charles also had wicked power at 175, Foster's durability wouldn't be able to withstand it imo.

, in a fight reminiscent to a longer, more drawn out bloodcurdling version of the Satterfield fight, in that Foster would probably hurt Charles early on, but Charles would figure him out and spark him.

Charles withstood vicious power throughout his career, particularly in Marciano 1. Foster obviously has a puncher's chance, but I don't think it's likely at all.
