‘Everything takes explanation,’ Joshua insisted. ‘I don’t understand why it should be [a 50/50 split]. ‘It was the biggest upset when I got beat, it should be the biggest comeback when I came back. I want it all, I want 70 per cent.
Well it has been Wilder that has priced himself out of 5 offers to fight AJ(I actually think Haymon has no interest whatsoever in making this fight). Whilst Fury turned down a 40% offer pricing himself out of AJ fight. AJ has the most belts, the far superior resume and is by far golden goose of the HW divison in terms breaking PPV records and filling out stadiums on numerous occasions ( which neither Wilder or Fury have even managed to do once). So 70/30 split is fair allthings considered. Haymon is has no faith in Wilder being victorious in this fight, that why it hasnt happend.
Well the winner is undefeated and the number 1 in the division. AJ shouldn't price himself out demanding the lions share against the higher ranked opponent.
50/50 at this level is more than fair. He's not far removed from being knocked all over the ring by Ruiz.
Here we go It’s 50/50 on the strength that he stupidly got into a fire fight with a blob & lost. It put a diminish on his return. Hard to blame him for it really ...had he knocked out Ruiz in the 1st fight He might have gotten 60% In the 2nd fight he wi$ley fought to survive which does get him a seat back at the table but no way he gets 70% now he lost that gamble when the blob consumed him.
Maybe if the fight was in wembley stadium I could see him getting 70% of the venue Gate/ticket sales but not PPV or actual prize fight money.
The fight would be huge. More than enough money to be made by all. Winner can get 70% in the inevitable rematch. They should both check their egos and agree to a 50-50 split. Whoever wins is in a position to demand the greater percentage in the rematch. Seems fair to me. Let's get on with it. Of course Fury could throw a spanner in the works.
Greedy prima donna bodybuilder! He wouldn't even have those shiny belts if the blob actually trained!
Nope, AJ's team are bending over backwards to make the fight. Wilder and Fury understand that AJ is desperate to fight them, whereas those two are far less keen. I suspect AJ is more confident of winning than those two. Hearn is now saying they will probably offer 50-50. Even if he does, there's a good chance Fury and especially Wilder won't accept. PBC don't let their fighters fight elsewhere unless there's a good reason. People are overlooking the role of the PBC when it comes to making an AJ vs Wilder undisputed. Will Al Haymon even allow it? Good chance the answer is no.
AJ has all 3 things - more belts - superior resume - is the big money draw. 70/30 is fair all things considered. Hearn paid over the odds with 60/40 split offers and Wilder and Fury should have taken but its seem if they confidence in their ability to win the fight despite what they say. Wilder or Fury asking for 50/50 split is on par with Andrade asking Canelo for the 50/50 split.
I still reckon the winner will turn down the 50/50 split Warren and finkel have already made excuses when questioned about Hearn stating he will offer 50/50. Top tank or PBC dont want to risk Matchroom having the unified HW champ. Unlike them, Matchroom actually has confidence in their fighter to win as proven with past offers.
