Frazier's workrate and left hook takes him apart, piece by piece, in a fight I'd love watching almost as much as enjoyed June 1st.
Wilder would pose stylistic problems for Frazier, but we have not seen enough for him to pick him yet!
From what we know, it doesn't bode well for Joe Frazier vs Wilder's punching power. If Frazier can withstand Wilder's punch, then he wins. If not, he gets stopped early.
All I know is Frazier has a hell of a lot more chance of winning this than he does against Lennox Lewis.imo
Frazier would absolutely destroy him and very quickly too. Wilder can’t fight a lick inside and isn’t talented enough or smart enough to keep Frazier from getting inside early. He throws very few punches too which against a relentless terror like Frazier doesn’t bode well. Frazier inside 2-3 rounds.
So Frazier was bounced around like a ping pong ball by a green slow poor stamina Olympic medalist who beat as a Pro mainly cannon fodder until his shot at Frazier........ Without his win in the FOTC against a declined rusty Ali Frazier would be a foot not at best in Heavyweight History.......too bad in his next outings against ali and Foreman he won jack.....and was stopped twice in uncompetitive fashion, stopped against Ali too......so one win against 4 losses. According to Forum "expert" gospel, he would destroy Wilder.....a fighter who is going for his 11th title defense....if that is so easy how come just s few have done.it.......a fighter who has ko'ed or knocked down EVERY single fighter he met and only TWO made the distance.....a fighter who laid out two ranked 235/265 6'4/6'6 fighters with ONE picture perfect right hand...... Frazier is and never was a defense genius, he got hit plenty and when he met the only top heavy puncher he crumbled like a house of cards from glancing blows... Wilder, also a Olympic medalist, is significantly faster than Foreman, hits at least as hard or harder, has no stamina problems, has poor footwork but amazing foot speed and reflexes....has a under rated jab when he elects to use it.......like Foreman said , you dont have to look for Frazier , he is coming right at you like shooting fish in a barrel, you cannot miss him if you tried.........Wilder will use the jab and movement to get the range and then boom.....Frazier aint got the chin to handle it Wilder beats Frazier 10 out of 10..
Joe quite possibly would get rocked and even knocked down. Then he'd get to work...Deontay gets stopped in 8.
You should actually watch a bit of boxing at some point in your life instead of throwing out blind guesses all the time. In these clips Frazier is usually the shorter stockier one with short tight cropped black hair. Let the forum know if you get lost at any point in the video so we can decipher what fighter he is for you. Wilder is not even the world champ. He hasn't made one defense of that as he's not the man. Foreman was an Olympic gold medallist (as was Frazier) and both were undisputed lineal World Heavyweight Champions neither of which Wilder could accomplish. And I wouldn't go knocking Foremans level of competition leading into his fight with Joe without taking a looksee at the dogsh*t that by and large makes up Wilder's resume. I don't see how a lanky, poor footwork, low output, not physically rough (unlike Foreman) guy like Wilder who is garbage at fighting on the inside would keep a swarming, high workrate,hard punching animal like peak Frazier off him, especially with that much skinny gut and ribcage on offer for Joe to pound on. Unless Joe stands stock still at range with his chin in the air and waits for Wilder to land a bomb on him but that's just fanciful and wishful thinking by you. And even then Joe would still get up. Wilder has a chance with his power sure. But with all his flaws and stylistic faults I could see Frazier doing an absolute number on him too (in fact that's what I'd be betting on).
