He makes a good comeback opponent for whoever loses the Wilder Fury rematch if they want to make a statement.
I think he loses to both of them. Loses to Fury in a twelve round decision, picked apart from outside. He loses to Wilder by being knocked unconscious. The Wilder fight would be more entertaining.
It doesn't change the fact that they are 1-1 , and quitting in a fight is way wrost than losing all rounds, especially if you are running in the whole fight .
Ruiz did quit in the rematch. He quit before he even got in the ring, and never even really made an attempt at winning the fight because of it.
He deserved the hype because he earned it. Whoever suggests the hype was unworthy(and I'm not suggesting you are) is being ridiculous. Sadly though, his inconsistency for a fight this important is hard to forgive. I'm definitely not taking him seriously anymore. What a shame.
Nope, had his chance and wasted it. Can't ever see him putting in another performance as in his first fight with AJ.
There are better fights to be made. Wilder-Joshua. Fury-Joshua. I'd rather see those fights honestly. Could come up more. Ruiz forfeited his chance at a 3rd fight by being noncompetitive in the second fight. By coming in unprepared, he showed himself to be undisciplined and willing to take a check and run. He doesnt deserve the payday honestly. He has to work his way back to contention.
Yes there better fights out there, but AJ still has Ruiz problems, they are 1-1 and need to un break the tie before they do anything else imo.
