Think Joyce will dominate Dubois, Joyce is very experienced. Looks are deceiving.

But forget that. What about the PPV? This is pure moneygrabbing. Unbelievable. To have Wilder-Fury II on PPV in late February and then having this on in April, both on PPV...it's an absolute disgrace.

    man it’s not like it’s £250 each!

we complain when they’re made, complain when they’re not!

the promoters have to pay to play, and we have to subsidise it

He tried to go for the EBU but Kabayel pulled out of the purse bid and signed with Top Rank.

He doesn't really have any money behind him and he's 33, so his options are probably limited. Unless he gets mandatory he's high risk low reward and will be avoided.

Beat DDD and he's at least high profile in the UK.

Well on the bright side you're a whippersnapper compared to Luis Ortiz.

I didn't think about that. You're right. I wasn't in Cuba during the Spanish-American War like Ortiz was.

Why the **** is JoJo taking this fight? I think Joyce has a fair chance -- although I'm leaning towards DDD -- but why take the risk at all? Joyce is too old for this. He needs to be fighting guys in the top 10.

Did his team genuinely give up on aiming for the top after the Jennings fight?

Anyway. I pick Dubois -- I can see either KO or UD. Joyce winning wouldn't shock me by any means though.

Wow. Bookies actually have Dubois a 1:3 favorite. That's not nothing.

Unless Dubois has stamina issues, which is possible given his bulk, i think he stops Joyce late. Joyce is relentless and has a great engine - but little defence. Dubois has a fine jab and will likely wear down Joyce and then go in for a finish in rounds 10-11.

But if Dubois wilts could see late stoppage for Joyce or Joyce SD.

Great fight. 60:40 in favour of Dubois imho. Obviously a big gamble for Joyce.

Joyce will batter him. Dubois KOing chubster Gorman is one thing, KOing the rightful Gold Medalist at the 2016 Olympics is something else entirely. There's levels here, and nothing Dubois has shown me proves he's anything but a big punch. His skill level is rudimentary. Joyce's defense is a tad bit porous, so it wouldn't shock me if Dubois took him out, but I'm sure Joe will be cognizant of the threat he faces here and he has the IQ and the skillset to implement a slightly more defensive strategy. I think it'll resemble his domination of another clearly talented but young and inexperienced fighter in Hrgovic back in the WSB.
