hmmm suppose. although you do get the odd ones in an even fight, a rabbit punch suddenly lands and the next thing the guy is on life support.
The Cobb-Holmes fight was legendary. Cobb may have not been the most skilled HW but he was as tough as anyone that ever laced up the gloves. Seems like a good guy too. Good sense or humor.
to be fair I agree with you. Audley was so delusional he had no quit in him e.g the second sprott fighter
Terrence Crawford Errol Spence Jr. Vasyl Lomachenko Artur Beterbiev Adrian Broner Josh Taylor Oleksandr Usyk GGG Sergiy Derevyenchenko Most Mexican's/Americans Danny Jacobs Hate to say it but Canelo Yunier Dorticos
The only fighter on that list who has taken serious punishment in a fight that would warrant quitting would be Froch. The others haven't had a fight where the other guy was teeing off on them without relent. You could say Ward took kind of a beatdown in the 2nd round against Kovalev, but that was really just a 1 round thing. If any of those guys had somebody like someone pounding on them the way Pac did to DLH, or Beterbiev to Gvozdyk, Froch to Bute, Ward and Gatti to each other then you might have seen something entirely different.
Of course, but some fight the urge to quit. The way Gatti took a beating in round 9 against Ward would have caused a lot if not most fighters to say I've had enough. It's not really about quitting, but more so of having enough. A lot of the defensive technicians should never make a list like this because they haven't really engaged in a life or death type fight. Nor should a guy like Crawford who has overmatched everybody thus far in his career.
