I never said ''Bud'' could. However, I did say that a 160lb Floyd would KTFO Roid and I stand by that assertion because he absolutely would and in violent fashion too.

    We're not talking about experience.

    We're talking about ability.

Roy didn't really fight many official fights at JMW.

Most of them were over and classed as MW fights.

The young versions of Roy who fought guys Serwano and Castro were better than Crawford.

Why are you so obsessed with this fight?

Griffin was a tricky fighter who was trained by Eddie Futch, and it was only Roy's 2nd fight at LHW, which was his 3rd weight class.

If Roy had came out bombing in that same mindset, Floyd would have been toast.

Floyd fought far better v Canelo than Griffin did against Jones, he was far hardder to hit at 154 than Griffin was to hit at 175, no comparison.

OMG! Your telling me Roy was already amoung the top 3 P4P fighters in te world at that stage? No way, Crawford is a far better counter puncher than Roy was at that stage and far more proven, Crawford would have easily beaten Castro and Floyd would have loked better v Castro than Roy did.

Floyd didn`t KO many welters let alone powerful middleweights that went on to knock out light heavies and this is coming from a guy who feels Floyd might have beaten Roy at 154 and was far better P4P, Roy was naturally bigger than 154 and would be drained, Floyd was far more proven at 154 and carried his speed up I feel 160 might be a bridge too far for his tiny frame since his style was based on quick counter punching not power.

    At the time, no.

What I'm saying is, if you took those early versions of Roy, say from the Castro fight, and you transported him into today's landscape, then yes, he would absolutely be a top P4P fighter today.

Terrence Crwaford is great. But he is not better than a 22 year old version of Roy Jones.

Crawford would easily have beaten Jorge Castro?

    Based on what?

We've not even seen him above WW yet, let alone MW.

How many MW's has Floyd beaten exactly?

Have you even seen Roy's fight with Castro?

    You talk utter nonsense.

Floyd wouldn't have beaten Roy at 154.

He wouldn't even have fought him.

He wouldn't even fight Canelo at 154.

Floyd wouldn't have held his usual reach advantage.

    He wouldn't have been stronger.

    He wouldn't have been faster.

He wouldn't have been more powerful.

    Stop.

I know it means nothing but I like Crawford, the 'chip on the shoulder', mentality. His style in the ring, he seems genuine and legit. I could never stand Floyd, couldn't give a **** how talented he was, dude made my skin crawl. Honestly think Crawford might beat him but I am biased against Floyd.

Who did Roid ever beat on Floyd's level? His best wins are a severely weight drained Toney who immediately moved up in weight after the fight and never fought at 168 again. Hell, Toney was weighing in as high as 200lbs just 16 months later and had been alternating between SMW, LHW and CW for his previous 8 fights prior to facing Roid. People bang on about him being weight drained for the Tiberi robbery, who FTR would've KO'd Toney had he been on Roid's roids, but he actually fought at MW again in his very next outing after that one which proves without a shadow of doubt that he was much more drained against Roid than he was against Tiberi.

And then we have the win over a green as hell B-Hop.

''But but Roid was just as green as him because B-Hop actually had close to 100 amateur fights' blah blah blah''

STFU with the crap! Yes, B-Hop did indeed have close to 100 amateur fights but they were against snotty nosed kids and unskilled brawling bum fellow prison inmates. Whereas, conversely, Roid was fighting skilled practitioners of the Sweet Science in the Golden Gloves, Junior Olympics, Olympic trials, numerous different international tournaments and the actual Olympics against elite level boxers who actually knew what they were doing, not crude uncultured cavemen who couldn't slip a punch to save their life.

Roid didn't fight anyone of any note other than Toney and B-Hop and a weight-drained Hill who he sneakily forced a rehydration clause on at the 11th hour and his spent his entire steroid enhanced prime avoiding genuine punchers because he knew he was packing more glass than a bottle bank in that pathetic excuse for a mandible section of his. Floyd fought plenty of punchers and the likes of Maidana, Manny, Oscar, Gatti, Mosley, Cotto, Judah, Canelo, Hatton, Ortiz etc. actually hit harder at 140, 147, 154 than all those featherfists Roid was feasting on during his PED-fuelled heyday up at 154, 160, 168, and 175. 160lb Floyd takes Roid to slick school and sparks his overrated juiced up ass out cold.
