Didn't we run into an issue a while back, @CST80, where nobody was getting the RBR tag notifications? Maybe there is a cap on how many @'s the forum software can accommodate per each post before it just up and shits the bed?

 

I've never visited my ancestral homeland, but my great-grandmother (maternal granddad's mum) was adopted by a Mic-Mac Indian and grew up in NS. I remember she would spin pretty wild (but coming from her, they seemed credible) stories about her youth, being told "if you're hungry, go and catch yourself a fish", which she was taught how to do with her feet. This was 120 years ago, but still, wtf.

 

...or she was the bastard daughter of a Mic-Mac; apparently she changed her story a few times, and so that's always been a hazy spot in my genealogy. It drove my family nuts when they were attempting to piece to;gether a family tree a couple of decades ago when that craze first hit.

Puts me in the same boat as Liz Warren. I'm maybe part Native, based on naught but verbal history, with no paper trail either way to prove or disprove it.
