Lomachenko gets credit for beating a good, albeit developing fighter with serious firepower.

The Commey and Menard KOs were brutal as hell.

 

Pretty much sums it up. There's always people like this here who have no credibility, who will give the fighter they like credit if they win but if they lose will make excuses and not give the other guy any. Whoever wins deserves credit.

 

Kinda like how you said Pac-Thurman was a poor fight because Thurman got clipped and Spence-Porter was a great fight despite many people thinking that Porter looked like crap and should have lost to Ugas.

Wrong! Pac-Thurman was a good fight and I gave Pac his due and said it was a good win. With that said it doesn't change the fact that Thurman had a long lay off and looked bad in his fight against Lopez, those are facts. You're exactly the type of poster with no credibility that I'm talking about. You can never give a fighter you don't like their due when they win or you pick against them just offer excuses. Lastly I never said Spence-Porter was a great fight but said that it did need to happen because they have both been at 147 for years and hadn't fought yet. You didn't give Spence any credit for beating Porter.

 

Looked bad? Dude got caught in one round, lost maybe the next, but ultimately schooled Lopez for 10 rounds. Lopez has legitimate power — he broke Victor's jaw. Keith got his tune-up, his work in.

 

Thurman looked bad in that fight. He was supposed to steam roll Lopez and he didn't he looked shaky and rusty in that fight. It wasn't a good performance.

 

Anyone with that type of power is dangerous. Femo is fast, explosive and seems hungry. Very dangerous indeed. I don't see Loma administering a one sided boxing lesson.

I think there's some relevancy here, but there are also some very important differences. Loma, unlike Lopez, did not enter the fight with Salido fresh off an impressive belt-grabbing victory over a serviceable champion. Similarly, Loma had far fewer fights under his belt (one) than Lopez will have entering this spring's showdown.

 

The run-up to Loma fights have a certain redundancy.

Before fight gets made: "Loma don't want that smoke!"
Fight gets signed: "Fighter X gonna whoop Loma's ass!"
Fight occurs, Loma wins: "Fighter X was never any good, doe!"

Rinse and repeat.

 

I feel really sorry for those guys to be honest. They're going to spend the entire time of a legendary fighters career making a fool of themselves. Soon enough he'll hang up his gloves and they'll be left with no-one to talk utter shite about.
