I thought it was settled. Honestly. GGG did better the first time, but Canelo improved on it and fought him more ring center and won. It seemed settled to me.
People who are shot to smithereens don't win titles against prime top 5 challengers. He may be a declined version of himself sure, but you are woefully exaggerating there. Reel yourself in.
Fight wont happen, I think Canelo feels it would be a step back too, he thinks hes won so moving on up the weights. I reckon he would struggle to make 160 anyway now. I don't want to see it either, GGG is 40 odd ffs, hes already proved everything..**** Ginge
GGG will always have a punchers chance, Canelo was hit hard in the 10th round and that is another reason he doesn’t want GGG. The fight will require Canelo to be 100% ready and will take everything he has and he clearly wants easier fights. But there is no bigger fight for Canelo out there and it is not settled. Wonder if GGG lets Conte make his magic to level “Mexican beef”...
The more time passes the less I am interested. I think Canelo will wait as long as he can so that he can end GGG's career with a bad beating. I would rather not see this, the reality is they should be 1-1 and an immediate rematch would have been great to settle what could have been a legendary trilogy.
Golovkin is in a experimental fase in his career which is making him a little more vulnerable, but he is still a beast, and these little tweaks to his style might allow GGG to land heavier bombs on a over confident Canelo during exchanges, and this new GGG may let his hands go more.Golovkin is still dangerous and a huge puncher.I wouldn't count out a passionate GGG for a second. With one well placed bomb GGG could have Canelo hurt and possibly take Canelo out.Remember GGG is still in reality at least 1 win and one draw against the #1 rated pfp fighter in the world today.Canelo don't want this kind of work, he got his win in the record books and has been reaping the rewards of his controversial win.Why go back to the "Gates of Hell" when your already in Heaven?
Another thing, Canelo's last fight with GGG might have been a wonse in a lifetime performance, maybe Canelo can't bring himself to that level again.
I thought Canelo clearly won the 2nd fight but there shouldn't have ever been a rematch in the first place
