Pacquiao is the greatest fighter of this era P4P imo. The fact he started at 112 25 years ago and is still beating top ranked welterweights is insane.

His résumé is ridiculously overrated but it's still awesome, and on par with Mayweather's imo but Pacquiao's weight jumping is clearly more impressive P4P.

I've always been of the opinion that losses don't really take away from a fighter's legacy but 3 of Pacquiao's 7 losses can be wrote off imo. The Bradley and Horn fights were clear wins for Pacquiao that he was very very unlucky not to get. His first loss was a very green Pacquiao and wasn't a one hundredth of the fighter he'd come to be. The Morales and Marquez losses were both avenged too. An aged Mayweather clearly beat an aged Pac, not a single shred of doubt about it.

For reference, here's My Top 100 in Tiers and Top 30.

Imagine waiting for Pac to age even though hes the far smaller fighter.

Isn’t Mayweather older than Pac? People act like Mayweather was in some sort of stasis box where he didn’t age while Pac did.

I don't need to imagine that you dont know **** about boxing and weren't even following boxing back when all of this went down. Aged out? Pbf is older than pac is dummy and retired years ago whereas pac is still fighting at a high level. People like you will say anything to further your agenda.

He's the greatest of all time as far as I'm concerned. It will take possibly forever for someone to accomplish what he did especially considering his situation in general.

PBG is notorious for chosing fighters past prime.
Pac's style doesnt age well, PBF style, does.

Pimp, of all people to say about agenda's...... The pot calling the kettle black.
Ill put it simply to you here.
    Floyd started @ 130lbs 72" reach 5ft 8 inch tall
    Manny started @ 108lbs 67" reach 5ft 5 inch tall

If you cannot see how impressive it is for manny to even be competitive against PBF, then get a sport like golf. Physical attributes play a Huge Huge Huge part in boxing.

Its funny that you bring that up. Seems like alot of the guys PAC beat Floyd already fought and beat them first. Funny how that is hardly ever brought up. Its also funny that you bring up that PACs style doesn't age well. The guy is still and active fighter and currently beating younger fighters while past his prime.

As for the fight with Floyd, Manny was not competetitive at all. After the first crisp counterpunch in the 1st min of the fight by Floyd, Manny was scared and hesitant to engage. If you want to give him some kind of mental win then thats your business, but most people knew he would get schooled in a wide UD. The fight played out like most people who know boxing thought it would. As far as starting in their careers, yes Floyd has the physical advantages. We all knew that going in, but some of you said it wouldn't matter and Manny would win. What happened to all the "angles" and "In and out style"? All of that got neutralized in the first 90 seconds of the fight and all you got was Floyd pretty much cruising to an easy UD.

Floyd fought 3 undefeated fighters in his entire career. 4 if you count the guy with the 0-0-0 record. Pac fought 5 undefeated fighters just this past decade alone.

Pac walked through bombs from the likes of Cotto, Marquez, Roidquez, Morales, Barrera, Margarito, Mosley, and Thurman... And you think that a shot from Floyd that landed on Pac's chest caused him to become scared and hesitant?

    :risas3:

I mean, coming forward all night and initiating 99% of the action is the exact opposite of scared and hesitant. But Floyd did fight the most cautious fight of his life. He walked down or stood and traded with big punchers like Canelo, Maidana, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, but ran from Pac throwing only safety jabs and clinching pretty much every single time Pac got close. And it's funny you bring up fear but don't mention that Floyd's own daddy lambasted him for fighting scared after the 7th round.

    :deal:

    1. Floyd Sr. was caught on the record saying Floyd was fighting scared.
    2. Pac initiated the action all night long. There was one sequence when Floyd tried to be the aggressor with a high guard. Didn't play out too well for him so he went back to pot shotting.
    3. Pac took Cotto's, 165lb Margarito's, Mosley's, roided JMM's, Matthysse's and Thurman's clean shots, but somehow he was afraid to engage with Floyd's okay power? Quit smoking that crap man.

He didn't fight scared anyway! He was the aggressor all night.

I don't recall ever seeing Pacquiao fight scared come to think of it.

The punch statistics for the fight tell a much diffrent story. As per the usual from Floyd he limits the opponents aggression and punch output. While true PAC did initiate the action but he was really hesitant to do. Most of that had to do with eating that crisp counterpunch in the first round.

He really does have a great record. This is worthy of top 10 ATG or even top 5. He has fought them all and beaten them all.

Well, since the Marquez KO he's proven to be a fighter that can adapt and succeed even following a loss. Maybe he just has the mindset and drive of a champion?

To beat Thurman in his last outing, at the age he is + the change in his game since the KO that is pretty phenomenal...
