Who does he think he’s Kidding?

All that lanky frame of his makes his long body easy target practice for Canelo’s trade mark body shots he will get lit up like a Christmas tree, deary me did he not watch Liam’s fight with him.

I’d love to see him get decimated by Canelo and taken back down a peg or two but he doesn’t deserve the massive payday.

    John Ryder does.

To be fair I've never been sold on Smith but he looked the worse I've ever seen him against Ryder, maybe it's the weight but he can fight better.

I think he should move up in weight, however can't wait to see him get knocked down a peg or two. Seems to have a big ego these days and he seems to have zero ambition tbh. Doesn't mention any of the other SMW belt holders except Saunders (Middleweight).

Holding out for a Canelo payday and not interested in risking anything else, meant to be the worlds best SMW but is doing nothing of note since winning the WBSS.

    Doesn't mention LHW fights either.

He has one really good asset and that's decent power, otherwise he's a Gallagher mould fighter and that really showed in the Ryder fight. Ear muffs and zero head movement.

at 175lbs yes, Smith can hammer Alvarez. At 168lbs with Golden Boy clauses, no, he loses 99 times out a hundred, just like anyone would.

Heaven forbid he believes in himself and his ability.

Rocky Fielding was much bigger than him and can punch a bit as well. It will take more than that to beat Canelo. I'm getting a bit fed up with Callum Smith now. I was really impressed when he beat Groves and in the fashion he did it in. I wasn't his biggest fan beforehand but after such a good win and performance I was really expecting him to kick on from that and he simply hasn't. He's KO'd a B level middleweight in N'dam and toiled in his fight with John Ryder which he arguably lost (he did lose in my eyes) and to me he has got a bit above his station. Apart from the Groves win, his resumé is quite average really. I do believe Smith has the right to call himself the number 1 super middleweight at the moment, as his win against Groves is better than any other wins held in the division currently (if we're not including Canelo since he's weight division hopping) but listening to how he speaks of himself sometimes, you'd think he'd conquered all and totally cleaned out the division. I'd rather see him fight Saunders or Ryder again first and let us see who the best SMW in the country is at least. In saying that, I do think it will be either Smith or Saunders who faces Canelo next. I'd prefer it to be Canelo vs Saunders and for Smith to rematch Ryder. He'd go up a lot in my opinion if he done the honourable thing and fought Ryder again. Can't see it though.

he beat a semi crippled victim of the young warrior version of GG. so that win is overrated

Whether you believe him or not, Canelo is a bad **** house if he chooses Murata over him or Saunders.

Well, in Callum's defense, Canelo isn't a southpaw with an excellent suffocating inside game. It wouldn't shock me in the least if he could pull it off. After all, all it takes is a solid jab and a good chin, both of which Callum has. I mean, Sergey was throwing powder puffs and was winning with ease. Styles make fights, and Canelo's is more suited to Callum than Ryder's was.

I don't personally see much difference between Murata and Saunders here. Saunders has looked like absolute garbage at 168. Smith is without a doubt the most interesting fight of the 3 though. Ideally him and Saunders would fight each other first so at least I only have to stomach one of them getting that sweet pay day

Don't want to spoil your day but they'd probably get as much for fighting each other first than they would fighting Canelo, so the winner would get 2 sweet pay days and the loser 1 !

I really cant stomach the Smith's though and think Canelo would destroy him. A tip top conditioned BJS would have a better chance but still think he probably falls short.

They'll get a good payday fighting each other for sure but don't think it'll be anywhere close to what they'd get for Canelo, hence why they are both making more effort to fight him instead of each other

Agree Saunders has the better chance, although we've only seen this tip top condition Saunders a couple of times, both of which were pre-failed drug test...

How much do you think either would get against Canelo ?

Well, first we need to work out what they would get against each other. And then to work out what they would get against Canelo, simply add more. Impossible to calculate exact figures really, in sincerity.
