Was Canelo basically a prospect when he fought Floyd?

If you mean Canelo vs. Trout, yes it was. If you mean PBF vs. Canelo, it wasn't.

He was far from a prospect. Lol. He did look like a corpse at the weigh in for the mayweather fight though and looked like he was blowing by the third round. His gas tank has never been great but he look noticeably tired early on in that fight.

Boy did your a$$ get sore quick lol! That being said Canelo is nowhere near as good technically then as he is now so regardless of how many fights (most of which in Mexico against cans) he wasn't as green as people make him out to be but come on man he was nowhere near the level hes at now. I do agree with you on an 8-4 scorecard being ridiculous. I think I gave Canelo 1 round and thats about it. Anyone giving him more than that is crazy.

In what world do you think Canelo won 3-5 rounds? It was a complete shutout for Floyd...

So we're in agreement that shot to smithereens underprepared and weight-drained drunkard Kovalev who was still concussed from his previous fight and who had serious legal woes hanging over his head is actually a better boxer than ''TBE''?

Canelo wasn't as experienced but he fought a past his prime Mayweather so even if they both fought in their primes Mayweather would easily beat him

Nah, effective aggression wins Nelo the fight in his now prime. That clinching wouldn't work for floyd, he'd do the Lara and run all night.

    Bayless couldn't even save em

He was 23, with 8 years experience and a title.

No, he wasnt just a "prospect".

Floyd at his best is a whole other level than Canelo

    If Canelo was Green?

    Then Floyd was very old!

    Floyd would beat Canelo 100/100

The same world that Dave Moretti was in who scored it 116-112 the same world that judge Craig Metcalfe was in who scored it 117-111.

In what world do you think Mayweather won every round? That's absolute lunacy. And I say that knowing full well that several posters who I respect have argued that it was a Mayweather shutout, which is either due to a Floyd Mayweather favorable scoring bias or an anti-Canelo scoring bias.

Well why don't we add C.J. Ross's 114-114 score while we're at it, huh? Same world? Idiot...
